Here is the challenge: I have been contemplating for a VERY long time of what aero I would like on my Z, the problem is that I have not found anything that I absolutely LOVE. There are the obvious choices such as the 99 jspec, GRacer, TwinZ, various Stillen bits, etc. These are all great and I do like them I just don't LOVE them, so here it is; I challenge all the NICO Zers and non-Zers alike to post up recommendations of bumpers and kits for me. For those that don't know I am currently in Australia (for the next 3+ years) and have access or can gain access to pretty much any market (Japan, Europe, etc.). Lastly, please don't post up stuff like veilside or ibherdesign, I don't consider these to look good but rather the opposite. There may be a prize in it for anyone who post something that absolutely grabs my attention (in a good way), as I said I've got access to EDM & JDM so there could be some rare goodies in it for the winner or just 1.78 billion interbaconwebz. :dblthumb:

Like you Anton, I am not in love so to speak with very many of the Z32 exterior mods, but I do like an entire car's worth of various designs which I feel do mesh together well and would be what I would do if money was not an object:
Jspec bumper, twinZ "side skirts", Powertrix cf mission style spoiler, twinZ2 rear bumper, jspec tails...only those pieces, and that's it! :dblthumb:

Rare, I do like that and perhaps with a bit of in-garage modification (mainly to that body line at the bottom of the front bumper by the wheel) it would be something I'd like to see on my Z.
DCaff, I've though about the mix and match however I am not in Love with the Jspec, I like it but it just seems to me to be lacking that extra little bit of aftermarket flair.

Keep em coming guys, I wanna see if there is anything I haven't seen before, mind you I've been search for literally half a decade. Additionally, I do plan on at the least pulling my rear fenders and perhaps even going with over-fenders if the rest of the Aero fits the look.

Jspec bumper, Jspec tails, twin Z rear, Kaminari side skirts w/ door fillers.... <--- I'm saving for that. I already have the Jspec tails. I'll try to find a picture of a car with those parts.

This is a no-brainer. Just shine a "Z" light up into the night sky and await the arrival of Vig in a cape made of fiberglass and riding a wooden sawhorse that is CNC controlled.

Jspec bumper - It doesn't do it for me, its nice but I'm just not feeling it
Twinz Rear - once again, very nice but doesn't pop, and doesn't flow with the rest of the car unless you have the kaminari skirts which I don't like the hard lines on.
Kaminari sideskirt - Don't like the lines, i'm extremely picky
J-specs tails, well ofc ourse, unless i get a wild hair up my a** to make some LED setups but that's too far in the future to worry about.

Guys, I do appreciate all of your input, I am not asking for your opinions, most of the "standard" stuff I am aware of and am not impressed by it. I don't want this to turn into another I like "this" and think you should do "this" thread. I'd like this to be a collection of good looking rare pieces, we all know TwinZ, Jspec, Kaminari, etc. Lets get some rare, JDM/EDM, only things going.

Don't you just hate to repeat yourself!

But in other words "name that other world body kit that you like but can't normally get so easy." :yesnod

Btw.. I'd buy a mission bumper from you if you find one. :yesnod

Honestly, the more I look at the SPDV6 kit the more I like it. That front end is just a bit too busy. I am way too picky for this, good thing I have 3 years left to decide.

The front looks very similar to the stillen gtz r2. Their nose panel throws me off, reminds me of a pig snout... I love the lower rear though.

Yeah I've contacted SPDV6 to see how the front is molded, If it is possible I would be shaving some portions of the front to not make it so aggressive (best way I can put it while still being nice), I do like the overall shape but would definitely be ding some alterations to it before coming out with the final product. Having said that I don't think I'll have much luck with them because the contact/owner doesn't seem to be very willing to provide me with the info I want, he just said that he isn't willing to do it because he's had questions in the past, helped people and then they ended up not buying (which to me seems fair, you're selling a product FFS you should be willing to provide as much info as required and be ready for people to refuse to buy after, people collect info to make the final decision.) But I digress, lets keep the suggestions coming.

It's not exactly rare, as in hard to find, but it is one that I have never actually seen on a Z. Bomex Type 1 with shaved fog lights:

It also has a similar style to the above MISSION bumper, albeit with a smaller lip.

SPD6 kit is nice except for vented side skirts, just doesn't look right on a Z imo. The front bumper/nose panel combo needs to go too, might be alright if you ditch the side canards and go with either a flat or TwinZ type 1 nose panel.

Thanks 2D, yeah that Bomex isn't too bad. THat front bumper is ehh, but I do have a couple ideas about the SPDV6 kit if I were to buy it; sideskirt vent filled in and smoothed, canards removed and smoothed, lip ground down and rounded to match the center portion, side air dam dividers smoothed to flow with the rest of the surrounding material. As for the nose panel, that would be going on ebay asap.

The SPDV6 kit looks like a Stillen GTZ on steroids. Not really a fan personally.

BOT, i think this is the best looking nose panel. Would go great with a Escort/JSpec front.

That's about what I'd want to do to it too, lol. It would just suck to spend $4k on a kit and then have to modify it so heavily to fit your liking though.

If wider is something you're seriously interested in it might be better to hold off a while, I remember reading on another Z forum that TwinZ has plans to create a wide body kit sometime in the near future. Personally I'm hoping its based on their current rear bumper/diffuser combo.

Abflug does have some interesting stuff sadly the kits of theirs that I do like are 2+2 only from what I have read.

Also if I do go with the SPDV6 kit I would be getting a pre-hamburger nose-panel for a sleek smooth look. If I get bored this Sunday I'm going to photochop some of the SPDV6 pics to see what it would look like set up how I want it.

As for altering a $4k kit, I don't really mind, its what I love to do (modding) whether its modding the factory stuff or altering aftermarket to my liking. We all dump ridiculous money into our cars (20 year old cars at that) because we have a passion and desire to achieve a certain goal, so the money spent on it is not something you ever expect to recoup.

Concerning the TwinZ rumors/plans, I would be interested to see what they do but I don't like their front end or the shape of the kaminari sideskirts, they look good but just not what I want at all. So if their widebody will be built around their current design it likely wont be anything i'll be crazy about. Like I said I've got time to make the decision.

As for the "beet 300zx" kit... yes, it is for a 2+2 only. You could always modify stuff to fit. It's not impossible given time and money. Most of the other Abflug Fascias shouldn't matter if it's a 2+2 or not.

You could always pull a much more professional and quality Vig and build your own! I have a feeling you would produce an insane product! Those Aussies have a distinct style with the z32... try to source local stuff. I'm not too keen on euro... and JDM is a little too flashy for me. I love the factory JDM front tho. So clean and updated. You can do what Escort did and modify the Jspec to your liking...
