Got the bottom end completly assembled, waiting on my head in the mail. Ended up ordering a reman head through Alabama Cylinder Heads. 350 for the complete head.

Now my dilema is that oil filter housing. It was broke when I disassembled the motor and I cannot find one anywhere. If anyone has one they'd like to sell me or knows where I can get one, I'd appreciate it.

What are you lost about? The big ends of the rod need to be measured to make sure that they didn't get distorted while installing the rod bolts.

Updateish:

Got her running pretty darn good. Bad news being I'm halfway through prepping the car for paint. So here is how she sits. I plan on painting it a Porsche Glacier White. I think it should look pretty nice when all is said and done. Definatly a lot more work than I thought getting it ready.

Nah. It ran good. Then I decided my harness was super jank and ordered a un-cut one. Got it a couple days ago in the mail but if i put it in I'll be too tempted to drive it around primered lol. I'll get a video together in the next week or so. Paint should be done this weekend.

Yeah, I started the project just trying to get the car all one color. Then as I spent more time working on it I figured I should go the extra mile and make it look good. Spent a lot of time sanding and taking care of dings/dents, but it'll be worth it when I'm finished. I was originally just gonna rattle can it, but that is pretty expensive too, I've only spent about 250 thus far, and that includes all my painting supplies, so I figure the extra money is worth it.

Tuesday is now set for painting her. All the prep work is done. I can't wait!

Color is Porsche Glacier White, in the sun you can see more of the blue-ish tint. Looks pretty good considering I've never painted before and I completed it in about a month.
Oh she's getting there...

I haven't had a chance to fool with my video camera, so I used my wife's digital camera to make this video of her running. I promise you, it sounds nothing like that in person. The camera must have horrible sound quality.

And my pcv set up is temporary for now, so don't have a cow. lol that rhymed. I'm debating on what to do with that. I was gonna weld up a catch can set up but we'll see.

Now I just have to figure out why it intermittantly stumbles around on idle and sometimes at random points through the powerband. Kind of pops and stutters and then its fine? Any help woud be appreciated, I was trying to catch it on tape but it doesn't like to act up when I have the camera out.

When it stumbles does it do it under load, or just anytime? If it mostly does it under load, it's probably ignition. If it doesn't seem to matter what you're doing, it's possibly the MAFS or a wiring issue. The easiest thing to do is to get a can of MAFS cleaner and try cleaning the MAFS. You can also pull the codes from the ECU and see if that pops up anything.

Awesome. Cleaned the MAF with some MAF cleaner and it seems to have taken care of it. Getting a sticker and hopefully insurance tomorrow that way I can put some miles on her and see how she holds up.

What it sound's like. I pulled the oil pan off last night, but I haven't had a chance to pull the caps off yet and see what it looks like. Seems like I just can't catch a break with this thing.

Whew... Well, I hate being wrong but in this case I'm pretty darn glad I was way wrong.

I had the oil pan off doing an inspection of the rods and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, no shavings in the oil. Then I proceeded to turn the motor over by hand with the plugs out and you could hear what sounded like a knock but it didn't seem to be coming from the motor. Sounded like transmission? So I pulled the trans followed by the clutch. What I saw was a relief. Turns out when I put the flywheel on it was right around the time I ran out of Loctite and most of the flywheel bolts had backed themselves out, leaving the flywheel with a fair amount of play.

Should be putting her together tomorrow night, I hope, as well as picking up my old(new to me) daily driver. I'll give you guys a hint as to what it is and you can guess. Rwd and you won't find many rust free like this one. It's an 85, but well worth trading my 180whp honda for, even though it's pretty well stock... hehehe

Yeah, there seem to be way to many threads of fail on this forum and I'm not willing to let mine be one lol. I may not spend money on baller parts, but I sure try not to cut corners and whatnot but hey, I'm only human.
