i have two car seats back there but if your tall with a 5yo(in a booster seat) back there might want to put em behind the pass seat with it pulled up.

Just keep it behind the pass seat, that's how mine is. Helps if you have a short wife though.

Thread from the dead..

I just put 2 carseats in my hatch (89, it took freakin for-ev-er. They're both forward facing and I got the belt part in through the bottom no problem. The thing I have pretty much no clue about it the top tether. Where the hell are you supposed to mount that thing? Right now I have it hooked into the base for the spare tire, it works, but if there is a better way can someone let me know?

Few options I can see working.1) wait till they're old enough to roll in the 240.2) +1 for the roofrack3) don't have kids

but never could see a car seat in a 240. Got pics?

I am pretty sure the car is to old for the tethers. You may have to take it to a Nissan dealer to have "actual" anchors installed. I know from trying to install one in my rents Buick. I am not saying that your mounting point is not sufficient, just that your car may have been out before tethers were main stream.

For the LATCH system tethers, just go under the seat with the bottoms, attach the top to the bottom and tighten sufficently, the seat if you have the seat belt tightend down right won't budge half an inch then, my 2 year-old's forward facing seat is done up that way. If you try and budge the seat while your outside the car and the whole car moves, your about as good as it gets.

In my very owner's manual they have directions on how to use the car seat in the safest way possible.

That's kind of cool, I also have a 2 and 5 year old and I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. I don't live there now but all my outside family still does. I'm trying to get back down there. Sonny's BBQ and Krystal FTW!

I'm getting that grey Graco car seat in one the above photos. It goes best with the 240sx interior.

I dont even have kids but when I saw this I had to check it out. You should bring the car seats to shows. Lol You would make quite a statement for the 240 world. You can confirm that we are not all 16 year old high schoolers with loud exhausts and rims!!!! By the way does you car seats work just as well when going sideways???? Just wonderin!!!! Have a good day guys!
