your LED tails looked amazingly clean! the relective tape thing I dunno, but you told me you'd get that fixed so it's all good!

and btw, great time you got there!!! 1:05!! wow! you got way more skills than I do man, if it wasn't for the added HP I would have gotten fail times haha

Now seeing exactly what I missed, I think I'm gonna have to start seriously planning a road trip for next year!

Let's see...according to mapquest:Calgary, AB --> Carlisle, PATime: 36 hours, 16 minutesDistance: 2239.94 miles (3604.83 km)

...yeah, I can do it.

Welp, I was one of the few guys who stayed for Sunday to do AutoX cuz I pussied out on Saturday. But after watching everyone I def was feeling jelous I didn't take my car out even though I don't have any of my mods on (yet). I took her around 5 times. First 2 times I disqualified myself because I went around the wrong side of the cones on the far end which I wasn't familiar with because I couldn't see them when I was watching from the side.

The 3rd time I did a 1.09 and the 4th I did 1.06 despite going fully off the course around the first turn on my 2nd lap and almost coming to a stop. He said if I hadn't of done that I may of shaved off 4 seconds or so and had a 1.01.

Next year I'm definitely getting in as much drive time as possible. That thing is so much fun, and I bet if I had gotten more time in on the track and gotten more familiar with it, I'd of done better. I have every belief that the VQ 3.5 can do under a minute with some suspension mods on there and a good driver.

It was great meeting everyone, and it sucks me, Mike and Arthur all got there so late. I missed most of the party friday night, but Saturday at MILF night was amazing!!

Sorry, but I dont remember.. were you the tall guy with the camo hat?

Also, I am glad you guys liked the LED Taillights... From the discussions I had with you over the weekend, you know I am DEMANDING a very high level of precision from people that want to offer things to us, to ensure no one is disappointed. Once we get all the kinks worked out, expect a big thread and writeup from me.

It was truly great to see all you guys out on the track and having fun... It took a little convincing to get Sith and Bmore out there but I am glad they took the plunge and gave it a shot.

Its all about having a good time, the "fastest time" is just a number... I had more fun socializing with you guys and putting faces to the names than I did on the track.

Few of my auto-x photos courtesy of Mr. LBC first run, second lap

coming off the track with adrenalin pumping and a huge smile on my face after first run

right after my half run when I sent that barrel flying, you can see Tom inspecting the damage as i'm being totally ecstatic over the fact

Sorry to disappoint you, but when taking a picture while shooting a video my camera stops the video for the time the picture gets taken. In other words, I get to have a new sig picture moments after impact, but no video footage of the act. I would've loved to see the launching in action from the sidelines as I only to to witness it from inside the car.

Man... missed a good time I see.

Sorry for those who were expecting me. I had a death in the family. Distant family... not exactly close to me, personally, didn't even really know them, but I felt like a d!ck ditching my moms (it was her 2nd cousin) and family to go to a car show.

=(

Next year? Or something else that'll be in the area? Promise?

WOW...so looks like I missed a helluva time Sat night @ the bar. lol It doesn't even look like the same bar as Fri night. & I had a lot of fun that night. I got down there late Fri night, so by the time we got to the bar, it was around 11ish & I had no idea what or who to look for. Thank god Mehdi had a NICO shirt on, otherwise I might've spend Fri night by myself. lol Anyway it was neat to put a face to the personalities I've met on here. I had a great time at the car show Sat. Getting to watch everyone autocross was fun, maybe I'll have the guts to do it next yr. Brian thanks for taking me in your car, while you did a run! That way at least I got to experience it! Wish I could've stayed for Sat night & Sun & hung out with everyone longer. But it was great to meet all of you. You guys are all lots of fun.

Brianna it was a pleasure giving you a ridealong! Papito is a cool dude, i wish you guys the best together.

I also wish I was able to go to the bar on saturday night, but thats how the cookie crumbles lol.

I think its really funny that theres no pictures of my car at all except the one you took... I have 1,200+ pictures of you guys during the autocross and none of my car! Its all good though, I just wanted to make sure everyone had enough photo ammunition to make a cool sig like mine!

AZhitman wrote:Sitting in the airport getting ready to head back to NICO HQ and reflecting on this weekend, I wanted to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all of you who showed up and made NICOfest Carlisle a HUGE success!

Carlisle is always one of my favorite venues because of how interactive it is, and this one was no exception...

Great work on the autocross course, some awesome drifting action, and best of all, good times hanging out and meeting fellow Nissan enthusiasts.

Special thanks to Brian (LBC) and the Altima Coupe crew - You guys showed up in force and showed the rest of the Nissan community how it SHOULD be done!!!

My parents made a surprise visit to this event... even though I've been driving this train for over 6 years, they'd never seen what NICO is all about. To those of you who welcomed them and made them feel at home, THANK YOU. They had a great time and really understand what I mean when I tell them that you guys are FAMILY.

Also, I was proud to introduce my fiancee Becky (nissangirl74) to her first NICO event - To those of you who made her feel welcome, THANK YOU. That meant a TON to me, and she had an absolute blast hanging out this weekend.

Torry, Andy, Joel, Seth, Brian, DJ and the rest of the staffers - Thanks for all your hard work... You guys kicked major a$$ and pulled it off yet again.

I'm sure I'm missing a ton of props here, but I'm exhausted and just ready to get home and get some rest... Thanks again to everyone who pitched in, helped out, lent a hand, or just showed up. We rocked Carlisle, thanks to all of you.
Again, endless thanks to all you guys who came out and showed support for NICO!

It makes me feel all warm inside (also makes my chest hair stand up lol) to have made such a big impact on this event and on you guys, as Greg said... Its more than a "car site" its a family, I hope all of you feel the same way I do (awwwwww)

I have a few pictures I took of you autocrossing, but I didn't realize until afterward that my camera was on the wrong setting & they're very blury Sorry! I'll try & play around with the pictures on the computer to see if I can't make them a little more viewable...

There was quite a Coupe turnout!!

btw Bmore I thought I had seen your car (was just a guess from remembering your car from your sig esp bc of your wheels--they really do look good, esp in person!) but wasn't poitive it was actually your car & consequently I guess I didn't get to meet you. Too bad, maybe next event. Sorry I missed you.

It looks like soooo much fun; I would love to go. I just don't think I'm willing to put 5,500 extra miles on the car for a single weekend. I need to move.

Thanks. As it turns out, I wasnt quite sure who you were either because I didnt come up the night before. I later realized that I was standing next to you for quite a bit of auto-cross and didnt even realize it. My bad as well. I will be there next time.

Damn Rob. If you are SERIOUSLY down. I think I might consider this. That would be about 3 oil changes and a LOT of gas.
