Show me the improvements on the dyno and you got a sale. I'm not so much for peak numbers as I am for powerband.

If the numbers are right on, I could be down! $999 would be a much more appealing price, but I understand the work that goes into it.

well guys unfortunately this is not going to happen. I have since left my job at Diaphorm, since my internship has expired. THere was also not enough interest to get the ball rolling on this.

If more people become interested maybe i can get in touch with my old boss and see if they want to pursue this.

I actually just toured fiber dynamics a week ago. They have my SR20DET intake manifold to draw up specs. They had an AIR intake for a b16 there. I am not 100% sure but I think they make them there. If anyone is interested in getting a custom made CF manifold for there car, I'll be placing an order with Fiber Dynamics in 2-3 months (when they have time to work on it). It will be a pricey intake, but they are putting a Air Intake Temp sensor in the 3 I'm ordering for our 3 race cars as well as possibly putting a fogger port, haven't decided yet.

Try and get the price down to $800. Still sounds expensive but Greddy has raised the price for there manifold to $700. So yours would be competitive at that price. Also add TB Flange options. If you would add it with a Q45 option and make sure the inlet port is that same size then you will definitly be competitive.

Gm LSX based engines use a composite polymer based material( code for plastic) to make their intake manifolds. It resists heat soak just the same. I know its not carbon fiber but its injection molded and if you could put these together I'm sure the price would be way lower, performance would be comparable, And id be willing to say b/c of cost theyd most likely be way lower and sell like hotcakes compared to CF <--- End of run on sentence.

Interesting. To bad there charts aren't bigger so you can see it better. Its a cool concept, I find it a little amusing that they keep throwing in how much lighter it is also. Other companies do charge $1,200 plus for some of their intake manifolds (JUN). Your best bet would be to build one and compare it side by side on a dyno against the competition.

They emphasize the lighter aspect of it to say that they can make an intake just as strong, if not stronger, than a cast aluminum intake. For me to get the cost down to $800 I would have to place an order for 100 intakes. So, if 100 people are interested that will work, but I;m guessing thats not the case. If we get 10 to 15 people interested the price would dropped down to between $1000 and $2000.
