Personally, I love the CF hood look :] Think it's great... only reason I wouldn't buy it is 1) it peels (on all cars, not just Versa's) and 2) with $600... I could take a vacation to vegas, get my hair done 6 times, buy 30 pairs of shoes, be half-way to affording a full suspension drop, buy rims... yeah I know, I'm a chick. :P

Lol who knows.. my friend that I work with says that it costs close to a grand to do a full-suspension drop. So $600 was a bad example because I really rounded up there lol. Anyways.. it IS Los Angeles, parts & labor are so ridiculous here. But do I personally actually know what it really costs? No, lol.

versaspeed.com wrote:Just had to chime in real quick here. I have one coming from Seibon in about two weeks and list cost will be $600.00 and will weigh about twelve pounds and it feels real light which DOES help the overall weight of the car and helps the power to weight ratio which helps performance. You can paint them if so desired so if the Black turns you off but want the weight reduction.

AND, they are working on the rear hatch assy also after the first new one I sent was damaged and I had to ship a second one so that should be ready in about a month or two but the way things have been going might be longer. This will add in the weight reduction even more.

When I tested the prototype it was amazingly light yet strong and the fit was amazing which kind of surprised me for a prototype so I told him not to change a thing......

So if there is enough interest maybe.....just maybe I can get a group buy.

jfanaselle wrote:for that matter, you could just buy some carbon fiber patterned vinyl and stick it on the hood to look like carbon fiber.

After all those chops, I think that hood only looks good on the red and the sapphire blue Versa. It just looks out of place on the other colors. Once again, props go out to bulld0g for the photo skills.

the red 2 tone looks great.

I know a guy that had one on his civic and one day on the highway it lifted and smacked him in the face....

well not hsi actual face but the windshield. :slap:
