With a carbon fiber hood?!shortys408 wrote:my last car was a corolla.
Is the Corolla XRS really faster? I wouldn't know because I don't follow Toyota cars, but after googling the 0-60 times, they seem to be 7.5 seconds. After googling the times of the 2.5 Altima coupe, I seem to get 7.2 seconds?cgs2k2 wrote:if it was an 03-08 they arent much slower than the 2.5 altima. and if it was an XRS, then it is faster. so dont bash cars you dont know anything about. :

I know that's what he meant. I couldn't find any image of a Corolla with a CF hood. Guess nobody has been stupid/brave enough to actually do it yet.SHIFT_COUPE wrote:I think he meant actually on the Altima. Not just a picture of a carbon fiber hood on any car
I wish I had snapped a pic of that Corolla with the CF hood the other night. I was in my truck so I would've had a perfect shot of itSHIFT_2.5S wrote:

i agree. even though i do not particularly like the look of CF for the most part, that is the reason for probably 9/10ths of why people get CF hoods, Trunks, dash parts, Roof overlays, etc...LegendRacer wrote:Who actually buys the hood so it makes the car like a bit lighter? i dont think many people buy it for that reason...more for the look
if people wanted...the can do a 1/4 without a hood even on it hahha

because some people are car enthusiasts and are more interested in the build and testing limits, then the car itself. just because your car is nicer does not mean you can insult other people efforts at enjoying their hobby, damn. i agree with you for the most part and would rather put that money into getting something a little bit more reasonable and reliable than a 600 fwd monster, but to each his own, and whoever owns it probably loves it and wouldnt trade it for an Altima. and "piece of ****"? its one of the best selling cars in the WORLD and it outlasts altimas all day long. get your head out of your ***.EzeebMOS3 wrote:First of all its a Corolla.... enough said....and why would you want one with over 600hp youll just have a 600hp FWD piece of S***......id rather spend the extra cash to get something with more class which you probably could have with all the money you put into your 600hp pocket rocket...

Actually my cousin had a '89 Corolla, and it has well over 350k miles on it now and it's still a grocerie getter, original motor... cars can last that long as long as you take care of them propperly... not a daily driver anymore, but it's was running strong from Fairfield to San Fran and back about 3 times a week as my uncle used to drive it when he didnt car pool to work... I say had, cause my cousin no longer drives it... but it's still in the family... and It also depends on what year Corolla you're referring to when talking about FWD or RWD (88/89 sport coupe corolla was the first year FWD corolla, apparently)... IIRC, alot of drifters used the AE86 Corolla hatch because it was one of the easiest cars to drift for the cheapest amount of $$... just a penny for your thoughts... or at leaset my .02SHIFT_2.5S wrote:
