Here's a thread that was started a little while ago about this - zerothread?id=331618. Not too much was determined, but there is some useful information. Datsun forums would probably be a better place to get more information, since they use the Ka for engine swaps into some of the older cars. I think it would be pretty cool to do, but the carbs can cost a lot.

they do use (carbs) persay..in japan and in some race classes in the states..but there called (ITB's)..as in individual throttle body's..basicly 4 carbs linked together one on each intake...not only looks really cool..but can add horsepower if done right..tuning is a ***** thou.

ps......it is one way of working around the ka24de's intake manifold issue...but expencive..unless you can scavenge some carbs from a motorcycle junk yard.

Silly newb, ITB's are fuel injected. If there are four mikuni's or something similiar then they are still carbs. ITB run best with full standalone ecu's. RB26DETT have ITB's from the factory even.

Also for the carbs your going to want to run shorter runners and need to modify the intake manifold.

OP be different and run four impco LP carbs. They are good for 125 hp a piece and LP runs cleaner and you an advance your timing for even more power.

wow man..where have you been...ITB...Individual Throttle Body..yes some are FI..but not all..havent you ever heard of side-fed carbs or side draft...incredible and you call me a newb...ITB's have been use'd long before your time and long before Fuel Injection..you need to do some reaserch in to classic stock cars and classic Road racing...just becouse im an old bastage dosent mean im not in the know guy..you might wana start in datsun forums..there are tones of tuners there..thats understand the side fed carb/itb principal...end of story..(insert rude comment and bad words here)

Exactly, side fed carb's are still carbs and have throttle plates to control airflow which in turn control fuel flow. Want a cookie? Throttle plates are part of the carb therefore it is still a carb. Throttle bodies are just the butterfly with a tps on the end.

man..i guess your gona flam me no matter what i say..read my original post..ya its still a carb with a throttle body attached..all bodys are attached..hence itb..individual throttle bodys...its the same..so flaming me down makes no point other than to be rude to a forum member for really no reason..its pointless....keep your cookie.
