Car meet got spoiled by a cop............

In the city next to mine their is a car meet every Thursday night.There was about 700cars last week. When I showed up there was about 300 but it had already been going on for 2hrs. My friend who has my old system just got a ticket the other for it being too loud. Ticket reads: LOUD RADIO Anywayz I got my system cranked as I pull into the parking lot and here comes a car going 50mph through the lot at me. I turn friend turns behind me and cop comes up behind him. e gets on his PA and starts saying ''If I can hear you your systen is too loud,blah,blah,blah,it's illegal and I can take you to jail'' I grabbed my PA and was in the middle of taking my breath to say somthing back when he turned around. The boxing matches started at the meet again and then the cop showed back up and wouldn't leave. Do cops enjoy ruining everyone's fun?

I just drive my car around cones at sanctioned events and go to small daytime meets, never have any problems.

well i guess they did have a good reason to bug you.. a loud stereo is sometimes annoying depending on the time someone is blasting thier music.. personally i dont like hearing someones emo/screamo/rap music blasting from their car..i find it pretty annoying myself...

i have yet to run into a unfair cop, maybe its my area but who knows.. the police is there to enforce the law and they are just doing thier job.. just leave em alone

it has a lot to do with age and respect.i treat the policy around here with respect and courtesy. they help out when **** hits the fan. yes they do make some bonehead calls sometimes, but i havent had any problems with the ones i know. they are people too. treat em like a person and youll find the stigma goes out the window too.

The thing is you can't be a little smart a** or fvuckwad as wickedpelf calls it, and expect the cops to be nice, thats where people get angry at cops. if your nice to them, they are nice to you, i've never had any trouble with cops, yet at least.

The cop was the one doing 50mph in the parking lot.The closest house was over a mile away.This meet is in the middle of all stores.K-mart,Micky-Finns restaurant,Movie Theatre,About 15 little shops.Across the stree blockbuster, Publix, etc. We are allowed to be in the parking lot.

Why are people always putting down cops? They're just doing their job most of the time. I do agree that some of them can be d!ck, but most of them are just doing they're job, to keep people safe and to stop people from doing stupid things.

I once talked **** about them before, when I wasn't as mature as I am now. But now that I got older, I can see that they are just like any of us, with a job to do, and that's to protect and serve.

I'm with you saying they are just doing their job. This cop had been going around all night harassing people though. Like before they would roll through to make sure nothing bad was going on then leave. We are allowed to be there otherwise this would not have been going on for over a year now. I'm friends with cops and they are just doing their job and I thank them for it.H3ll if I didn't get my ticket for speeding I might of ended up in a crash a few minutes later or even a few days later.They keep our world safe.I was just trying to address why do some cops enjoy aggervating people when they have the right to be what the cop is harassing them for.Threatening to take me to jail for my radio little bit extreme isn't it?

I have met prick cops who were getting a nut off the use of power and I have met nice cops who cut me a break and gave me a little reality check. It's almost like they are people or something with individual personalities or something. I am always respectful to cops until they give me a reason not to be just like anyone else. I wouldn't want to do their job, their life is not just roustin you because you have your stereo cranked up (Which incidently annoys the **** out of everyone not just cops dumbass) That same cop may get shot on a routine traffic stop and they never know when it's coming. Yes I think the cop in this story is a tard but to generalize all by one is as stupid as cops lumping all young men in fast cars together. Something to think about, wha?
