I mean the cover on the underside of the trunk lid itself. I don't think there's another way to reach the mechanism the connects between the lock and the latch...snobrder wrote: I took the shelf and seats and all out first ofcourse if thats what you mean by cover. But I have a fix thats good for a start, I took a long brake cable from a bicycle and hooked it up to the trunk release, now it hangs through one of the holes by the spare tire!
Looks like you found a workable solution until you can get everything fixed up right.
