Guys need your help, trying to determine between the G35.

http://usnews.rankingsandrevie...ti-G/

Or the Lexus is250http://usnews.rankingsandrevie...s-IS/

My lease is almost up and i need to decide! If you had to complain about one thing about the G35, what would it be?

Help I need to decide!!!

Also, this site ranks the 3 series BMW on top.

http://usnews.rankingsandrevie...Cars/

Any validity to that?

Thanks,J

DONT go with what they RANK it as... go to edmunds or caranddriver and check the facts on the cars...

And are you going for 2007's of each car? or a pre-owned?

GO TAKE TESTDRIVES!!

Yea, took the test drives and still torn. Looking for at 2007s. Also those links take you to a site that actually tells you what edmunds and car & driver's said about those cars, also a bunch more sources. they take them all and come up with a final rank, but I'm still trying to decide which is why i'm now going right to the source fo real users.

after all that , its more of which has more HP ( G35 is 306HP ,) what your taste is.2.5L V-6 or 3.5L V-6 ... you make the choice..

and i think the G35 is more customizable

yea, looks like the 250 is only 205HP. And downfalls. If there was one thing that pisses you off about the g35 what would it be?

IS250 has NO HEADROOM.. my coupe has a ton more headroom then the lexus.

Lexus gets better gas mileage then the coupe and about the same as the sedan.

the VQ35DE is a super reliable engine.

I say go with the G35 but then again I'm Biased...

I've got only one. That pisses me off. I could use one more.

I would compare the IS 350 and the G35...and even then, I'd go with the G!

The G has it's nuances like any car...but for the most part the look, feel, performance, and dependability outweigh the negatives.

Here is a review of the new G37

There were two things that pissed me off on my 06 G35 Sedan 6 speed manual.

1- The bluetooth does not display incoming cell calls on the dashboard as does the Acura TL.

2 The factory Sirius Radio does not scroll with song title & artist like the portable $99 Sportster does.

However, I test drove the IS250 & in my opinion there is no comparison. G35 wins hands down.

Get the G35. If you were to choose a Lexus, get the IS300. At least the IS300 has a 2JZ block, which is extremely buildable. The 2.5 liter engine is lacking in power and upgradable options.

I've never driven the IS 250, but my brother has the new IS350 and loves it... after driving both cars, I think both have their positive and negatives. I think both are great cars.

If you're trying to get the most for your money... look no further than a G35. My loaded G35 which has beaten my brothers IS350 in a race came with many more bells & Whistles than his basic IS350 and for about 8-10K less than his car...

No headroom or legroom in the back of the IS350...

Do a little more comparison shopping, but IMO I would go for the G Everytime!

I don't own either of the above, but I completely agree, if you're looking at an IS, forget the 250 or 350 leases and get a pre-owned 300 .

If leasing is your top choice, G35 or even G37.

I've had my 2007 g35 coupe for about a month and I love it. It's fast, handles well, and is the nicest car I've owned. If you're looking for things that I don't like about it, there isn't much. If I had to say something though, the stereo system could use some work, but will be fine for 95%+ of people out there. The shifting is a little rough, but I like shifting at 4K plus - it's just too much fun not to. Oh yeah, I'm not crazy about the orange colored lighting, but that's gettung a little picky. It's badass period.

Rattling and clicking??? Uncomfortable??? Take it back to the dealer, and have that looked at. You have a unique problem. Most of them are maintenance free, and comfort is a personal preference.

I drive an '07 G35x, have test driven both an IS250 and an IS350, and until recently drove a BMW 330i. I've had a few problems with my G35 since I got it, but most people do not have major problems with the '07s, and Consumer Reports' surveys have found that it has very good reliability.

As for driving experience, the IS250 is nice and very luxurious, but it is really slow. The IS350 is about comparable speed wise, but the steering is extremely light and it just isn't much fun to drive. The BMW is great to drive, but service departments vary in quality, and they are expensive. Ultimately between the Lexus and the G35, I would take each one out on a test drive and buy the one that you like to drive more. I doubt you will prefer the IS 250...

Tamir's comments are consistent with everthing I have read about the IS250 and IS350. If you want a manual transmission or all wheel drive, neither are available on the IS350. Even Consumer Reports considers the IS250 to be boring.

It is a personal choice. I used to say it when I ws into bikes, there are a lot of great choices and most of us could not ride any of them to their limits so just find the one that most appeals to you and buy it.

They are both great cars, I like the G35 more but it is a matter of taste. I don't think you could go wrong with either where quality is concerned.

don't get the 250, if you're getting the IS get the 350. It's really fast I heard it runs mid 13's all day which is definitely faster than the G. But I say go with the G, it looks about a million times better.

How do you want to shift? Paddle or stick? I prefer stick...I would think that the paddles would be tough to keep at your fingertips during spirited driving. I have heard that the shifts are lightning fast, but good clutching is 80% the fun of driving! They are both hot looking cars, but my vote goes to the Infiniti!

I tested the IS and fell in love with the G35 (a 2003 used 6MT) over the new 250.

You can drive the G like you hate it and it rewards you. If you are a true driver who loves a balanced yet comfortable sport coupe then the G coupe of sedan for that fact will reward you far greater.

A guy at work bought one for his wife (nuff said) and he isn't all that crazy about it at all. It is smaller inside. When he rides with me or races with me in his CLK320 he always is amazed at the performance for the buck of my G35 Coupe.

I have had GP GTP (modified), M3, SAAB Viggen (modified) and this is by far my favorite car withonl the Injen cold air kit added.

Buy the G.....

I know a couple people with IS350's and they both love em. I think they might last longer (toyotas generally do) but they are probably a bore to drive compared to a G. I dont' like the feel of toyotas, too light. Looks-wise of course a G is way better..but the IS350's dont look too bad either(I'm very picky about car looks).
