I know this is gonna sound mean, but.... You just lost your job over a girl???? That is just plain stupid! You had a job making $20 dollars an hour, where you didn't even have to work hard. I would do bad things for a job like that. I am 27 years old and in the same field since 1997 (started when I was 20), working for local government and only make 12 something an hour. What were you thinking?

There is no woman or piece of a$$ that is worth me losing my job. I dont care if I have been dating her for three years and am in love (unless she is rich, and wanted me to quit my job). I would of course drink and smoke more, but $20 dollars and hour would help me buy a new girl friend.

At least you are still young. At 19 you can make mistakes like this and recover. At 27 this could screw your life up for a year or two. Will your ex boss give you a good reference? If so, you should be able to find a simular job, sooner or later. But it sounds like you had a gravey job.

DAEDALUS, the only time I made near 20 and hour in the food service was delivering pizza. I worked three days a week five hours a day. 5 dollars and hour + one dollar for every delivery + tips = not too bad.

Hehe its ok, like I said above, I learned my lesson here, maybe an expensive one. About the part where I really do anything in my job, well its not really true even tho thats what I wrote, I still had massive amount of work to do but it was just that I was good at what I was doing so I would finish them alot earlier than it was due so I would have free time to surf the web and such. And, my boss will be give me a good reference, he has told me that if he didnt find another replacement so fast, he would have taken me back (no hard feelings between us). Yes I'm only 19, and will probably be hard to find a job but I do have a pretty impressive resume at my age, I started working when I was 14 at various different jobs and location. I guess I'll just take few days off as a vacation and start hunting jobs soon. I dont wanna be too lazy and slack off and be out of work for a month or longer.

And as for working in the food industry, I DO have an bartending license which I just got cuz I thought it was cool to have (LOL?) so maybe thats where I can be looking towards to? I know they work only 2-3 days a week and bring in massive amount of money (prob 200 - 300 a day) Or..... Look for an office job. well anyways guys WISH ME LUCK!!! I'll keep yo guys informed!. I work in food service right now...too bad cec doesn't do the whole tip thing. Man this 5.75 /hour thing is killing me. Time to go to a mom and pops computer shop or something, cuz I really need better pay.
