tibueron's are slow I beat on a used one that we had at work, your 240 would womp that thing if it was stock. Why not race him theres nothing wrong with losing. Its not like your racing for pinks. Some people ask dum questions. Just race him and find out for your self.

On the track, of course

I walked over a Tiburon once...granted it was completely stock and the driver was a 250+lb girl.

I'd say you got him.

A tiburon GT V6 tried to pass me the other day in a merge lane that takes this windy road down to 1 lane. I don't let people pass me there. That day was no exception. Even though my 240 isn't stock, I imagine you should slaughter the I4 tiburon.

sorry dude but im still pissed that there was korean **** in gt4. they are fine for cruising the ghetto, where most of them live, but if you waste the time and money trying to get anything out of it youre an idiot. also, their cars are cheap because they steal the designs and market research from other companies.

thumbs down.

Ten minutes later, I'm still searching for one iota of relevant/plausible/intelligent information there. People said a lot of the same ignorant bu11sh1t back when companies like Nissan and Toyota hit the market. In fact, you should go find some of the reviews American auto mags gave the import pickups when they started rolling in the late 70s and early 80s. Get knowledge.

All i got is a huge weight reduction, only has dash, seats, door panels, intake shortened and relocated to its own box where the battery used to be, removed the headlight and material behind it to feed the box, mechanical fan removed, 248/232 cams, and really thats all, nothing on the exhaust side even...

So just a few ponies up from stock, i had zero problem pulling away from a GT V6, and you're not even dealing with that, i say do it to it

you want some relevent information?

fact: korean companies reduce the cost of designing their cars by using translations of existing designs that have been marketed and shown to be good-sellers by other companies.

fact: korean companies use cheap parts and labor to build their cars. japanese cars are 2nd only to high-end euro carmakers as far as initial and lasting build quality. korean cars show the lowest initial quality in many of their product lines of any car offered in north america.

heres a question... if the "gt" v6 tiburon is such hot ****, why the hell cant it make the power of a stock jap inline 6 or v6 sport car? why is it so heavy? why is it fwd with a long, narrow wheelbase? its not a sports car, it barely makes it into the sport compact category.

another: why is it that since korean companies entered the market en masse in the us, i see more daewoos, kias, and hyundais broken down on the side of the road WITH DEALERSHIP TAGS STILL ATTACHED than any other car, regardless of age or external appearance?

you get what you pay for, which is why you can get these types of cars cheap.

take him to the track.

obviously, this could change over a long period of time, unless kia and daewoo and hyundai are fine with selling a new, cheap car to someone every year or so, which i suspect they would be. but as of right now the quality of these cars, even their so-called "high end" luxury offerings is lacking.

that came outta nowhere.

my cousin lived in korea for years and i loved it over there when i went to visit him. the people are really really nice. just because i hate their cars doesnt mean i hate them or their culture. im not racist towards anyone. i am auto-cist, however, in that i wont touch certain vehicles, but mostly its based on either personal experience or a lot of research.

you could call me white trash if you wanted to, my dad DID have a mullet and drive a trans-am in the late 70's early 80's before i was born, but then again, i probably wouldnt care. i dont read deep into that kinda stuff and prejudge people as racist or nothin.

im pretty sure i didnt say slope, slant, gook, dink, etc... or even rice when i was describing the poor workmanship of their cars. if it makes you feel better i would rather drive a hyundai than a neon or cavalier

Don't Kias come with like a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty? If I were old and cared nothing about my car besides it being cheap and getting me from point A to point B, I would jump at that.

yeah but at the same time what good is it when its at the shop every other week and you cant drive it?

an old guy that shoots at the gun club where i sometimes work traded his explorer for one of those new kia suvs. its been in the shop 6 times for engine electrical problems, and he says he says the waiting room at the dealership was literally full of people with the same problem.

hey i have an idea. instead of so many people asking what cars they can beat, just fricking race them and find out. isnt that the whole point of racing? it just flatters me that everyone on here has to have some assurance to race another car. hell, ill run anything with 4 wheels against my n/a four cylinder.

I think it's hit and miss with any kind of car you buy. His Kia may have all sorts of problems, but you can find tons of other people with Kias who have no problems. My grandfather had a brand new '03 Ranger that was in the shop from May until July because they couldn't fix it, and they just gave him a new replacement. My dad's $50,000 F350 that he just bought is in the shop because he went to service it for the first time last week and there was oil all over the back of the engine/underneath the truck. That's why I don't bash on a brand just because of price/where they are manufactured. Everything has problems.

Well Ford is not known for quality... just look up info on the 6.0l Powerstroke.. most don't make it over 10k before the engines blow...

ouch d!ck, that cav coment hurt a little, i drive an 01, (just recently purchased a 240 though) it's releable, and fun. torkey little motor, (a lot like my 240) but i know how the whole don't wanna drive a certain car thing goes, most likely if you were raised a chevy guy you don't like ford (that's me) until my mom got a cougar with the 4.6, maybe it was only fun cause it was rear drive and you could turn the trac control off point is give everything a try, you never know until you do, and then if still unsatisfied, then say whatever you want

Agreed race then tell, not ask your friends and get a consensus whether you can win or not.

So thats why Mitsubishi makes the chasis right? Cause they would risk there reputation on some korean convicts building their cars? Those cars are fine and your ignorance is overwhelming!
