CamShaft Sensors

The check engine light came on after vehicle stalled....had it checked at advanced auto and they informed me that it was the camshaft sensor. Is this hard to find and replace? They also stated there were 2 sensors. Is this correct?

Do yo have a printout of the trouble code? It's possible to receive a wrong description of the trouble code from Autozone, leading to erroneous diagnosis. Attached is a link to the FSM, EC chapter (Engine Controls).

You can also look into CEL/SES codes for 5th Gen Maxima, taken from the forum's FAQ. Problem with the Camshaft sensor may trigger fault code P0340 or P0345.
