First I apologize for the length of this.

I also apologize if I piss off any of the moderators in posting this...

As requested, I emailed Cameron asking that he explain this situation and here was his response.

" Feel free to post this on any forum you want: I owe you nothing, no explanation, no arguments, no phone call. I have nothing to prove to you as you are not and 99% chance will never be a customer of mine. Any of the people that have done business with me deserve treatment of being spoken with and being updated...the majority of those people email me regularly and I do them that justice. You however, are a nobody who thinks that he can control everyone into thinking one way or another...a person who likes to stir up commotion for some odd reason that I still cannot figure out. You are WAY out of line. Youare not a customer of mine, I will not be contacting you as I owe you nothing. I can, however, say that my engines will be arriving on December 8th and I have a vessel number, container number, etc... I said I was fixing things...I wouldn't spend as much time online or answering emails etc... if I wasn't trying to, I would havedisappeared and been the bad guy that the few people wanted me to be. Night 7 Racing will be a great supplier for all engines come 3 months from now when EVERYTHING is in the hands of those who deserve their product."

I sent him another email....

Isnt it funny how you had no problem syaing wtuff against Unstable Hybrids, even though iut wasnt YOUR place, but now that someone has something to say against you, it is a totally different story.

Here is my point of view...If there are people out there on "Neighborhood watch" stopping people from stealing their neighbors cars, its a good thing. I "Citizens on Patrol" are out there stopping criminals from burglarizing people residences, its a good thing. I think I am doing the same for others in regards to you. Maybe I am WAY out of line, maybe it isnt technically my place to say something, you may be right there.

How much have you purchased from Flash Options, Visualize Motorsports, Racing Hard, Unstable Hybrids? Why is it that Zach says that even the downpipe he bought from you hits the floorboard? What kind of quality was that? What about the "Technical knowledge" you provided me with? What about how it took 3 weeks of harrassment to get you to finally pay me for the headlights?

You want everyone to hold you to a higher standard than all the other places that sell and install RB's. Why is that? Why is it ok for you to talk bad about all the other places, but now that I do it to you(with the truth I might add) you are soooo offended by it?

You say that you are willing to talk this out, that anyone can email you if they have a problem....This is just a way for you to get this out of the publics eye and "make things go away."

"Any of the people that have done business with me deserve treatment of being spoken with and being updated...the majority of those people email me regularly and I do them that justice."

Do them justice by refunding them their money....What happens if there is something wrong with the clips you import and they "are bad quality" and you decide to find another?

"I said I was fixing things...I wouldn't spend as much time online or answering emails etc... if I wasn't trying to, I would havedisappeared and been the bad guy that the few people wanted me to be."

The wolf always comes back to the open coop. dont pull that **** on me. You were hoping to get some more sales before this all really catches up with you and I KNOW you are hoping to just file bankruptcy once this all hits the fan and get out of it, but there is one flaw....you showed all your cards too soon. Now there is proof that you have intentions of screwing them out of their money...A judge will order it all to be paid anyway.

I KNEW that you wouldnt write anything of consequence to me because it couldnt stand up to any scrutiny. I guess your honor and courage got lost by the shippers or sent back to Japan also. Good luck on faudulent business in the future....It will catch up with you."

To which he responded...

"Just to let you know, I won't read your petty bull ****. It took two lines for me to delete the email...you won't be replied to again. You don't deserve anything. I don't buy from Flashoptions, RacingHard or any other company, but thanks for your concern. As from now on, your emails are blocked from each of my accounts."

I feel MUCH better about his business practices now.

Thanks for allowing me to rant, I am still meeting with my DA friend on Monday(tomorrow) with a couple people's stories(but not Night's)

Sorry if I shouldn't be posting this. I just want to show his true colors.

Jon - Per your email to me, you ARE a customer of Cam's. His response to you indicates you are not.

Is this true or false? I hope you haven't misled me (and others) by stating unequivocally that you are.

I also interpret both emails as saying in his <and> in your section that you are not a customer?:

"Here is my point of view...If there are people out there on "Neighborhood watch" stopping people from stealing their neighbors cars, its a good thing. I "Citizens on Patrol" are out there stopping criminals from burglarizing people residences, its a good thing. I think I am doing the same for others in regards to you. the above and the rest of your posts body, indicated to me, you are not now, nor have ever been, a customer of his, is this correct?

No, you said that we had to have done business in the past, which we did, that was your statement. I HAVE done business with him in the past, I NEVER claimed to have been screwed by him on an engine. Cameron and I have conducted business in the past and I can comment on his character. I never misled anyone.

You are out of line. Our policy on this board is and always has been that unless you are doing business with the potential culprit then you do not have a right or the privilege of posting on that subject.

From the e-mail you posted, it is clear to me that, because it was a personal e-mail sent to you, then Cameron is correct in his statement denying your involvement and business relationship. I believe Cameron was also correct in his understanding that you had no reason to question his business practices unless you were having a problem with him.

See, as a journalism major we go over this stuff every day. Posts and e-mails are not completely accurate, which is why we're not allowed to use them in print. What we ARE allowed to do and supposed to do is to give the person a phone call and do an "on the record" interview or, even better, interview him in person. Why don't you leave the investigative reporting to the journalists and quit playing Geraldo?

Nick

P.S. Since I believe you're lying, and you will be quite unable to prove to me otherwise, I will take everything you say hereafter with a grain of salt.

Actually, you won't have to take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Because he will no longer be posting on NICO.

If there's one thing I can't tolerate, it's a liar.

"What about the "Technical knowledge" you provided me with? What about how it took 3 weeks of harrassment to get you to finally pay me for the headlights?"

Doesn't that include doing business with him? I was just wondering. Or are we being specific about the fact that he had to be involved with the "current" business problems? I'm not trying to take sides...just get a feel for where the line is on this matter.

Last I checked, "technical knowledge" is shared here, freely, hundreds of times a day.

And the second comment sounds like Cam might have been buying something from him (?).

Either way, it's clear his attacks were not based in an actual business transaction of the magnitude that Bryson and others are involved in, contrary to what he tried to have me (and you) believe.

The best way to explain it is by comparison:

Let's say I buy something from you on eBay and you take your time with shipping the item. In return I post negative feedback on your eBay account letting everyone know the problems I had with you. This is fine.

What does this mean? If Jon would have posted at the time that he was having problems w/ Cameron then that is not only acceptable but encouraged. Honesty begets honesty.

Here's what's not ok:

Back to the comparison...Let's say I hear 2 years later that some people are having problems with you on eBay. Then let's say I take it upon myself to e-mail you with accusations of bad business practices. You reply to my e-mail saying that I don't have anything to do with the situation and, even though it's none of my business, everything will be fine. I then in turn post your's and my e-mails and my opinions of your bad business practices WITHOUT PROOF.

That's what is not ok. Written defamation of character is libel and is a punishable offense. We do not tolerate that on the site. Recently somebody suggested we post lists of businesses not to use and why. Same kind of thing, if we a) have no proof and b) say things that are untrue about a company, they can then sue us for all we're worth. Quite a liability.

It is for these reasons that we do not tolerate baseless accusations. If you are getting screwed by a business then your experience is your proof. Proof is not "this guy told me that this guy said that he is having problems with this guy".

You know I've been reading this ongoing drama for months now and I still don't understand why people are still talking about it. It seems to be a very clear cut case. People send money to Night for a motor. Night sends his customers a motor in a timely fashion. If for ANY reason (Night's fault or not) the motors do not get delivered in a timely fashion, the deal has been broken and the money should be returned. The way I see it, business is business. The guy gets one more shot in making it right, then if he doesn't, take legal action against him. If everyone had done this from the start I bet all the legal crap would have been taken care of and everyone would have their money back. Everyone was too busy thinking this guy is nice, he'll come through, I know it. They should have realized that although he might be a nice guy, they are only in a business relationship with him. Simple as that.

On the case of the mods and admins of this site, that is simple too. Do they want this to forum to be a free open market or do they feel the need to regulate the market somewhat. If they want this to be an open forum, then no one should bother them about any kind of deals made. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to handle his situation with the seller. In the latter case, which is what I am seeing, the mods and admin should have just banned him from posting or advertising on this forum until the issues were resolved. This would benefit the forum's reputation and also would have benefited Cameron' reputation also. And only after everything has been solved would people be allowed to know the complete story from beginning to end.

I really really really really do not understand why this situation was not handled a long time ago and why it is still going on today... The legal system is there for a reason, why not take advantage of it.

Cameron telling the judge you will give the people money when its availible is not going to hold up in court. Who knows when Cameron will have money availble? Only Cameron will know, and who knows if he is willing to give it away when he does get it. The thing to do (for everyone that is waiting on their motor). Ask Cameron to sign an agreement that states he will send you copies of your shipping invoice (with estimated arrival date) to you for x-type motor shipped out no later than X date. Work this date out with him. This is a common business practice. Its called an written agreement that should be signed and dated by both parties. You can go as far as getting it notorized if you want. I know he claims they will be here early dec. So a mid JAN 04 deadline would be reasonable. It doesn't take customs very long to process these containers. There are perishable goods in some containers and they do not let them sit around for long periods of time. If he will not agree to any of these terms tell him you are getting an attourney (do get one or talk to a local prosecutor at the Courthouse). These will be felony charges so they will issue a warrant for his arrest. BTW Cameron you will not get away by saying "I don't have the money right now". Thats not how it works. You cannot take someones money for a item which was not delivered and then say I don't have the cash. That is considerd stealing. Any assets you have like you house, car, ect... will be seizes and auctioned off to pay these guys back. Cameron I hope everything works out for you. I don't like to see bad things happen to anyone. It would be best if you would sign an agreement with these guys. Then this will put the ball in their court for once. This will give them a legal agreemnet that they can hold against you if you don't come through. Again this is a common thing in normal busineuss practices. The line has to be drawn somewhere. It is up to these guys who are out money with no engine to do this. If these guys do not do this then they cannot ask why nothing was ever done to him for taking their money (if thats how it turns out). I would hope Cameron would agree to some terms. I hope this comes to an end soon without any negative consequence for anyone. I have said my picce I will not comment anymore.

After witnessing this situation on the boards, and witnessing the ADT situation as first hand as it gets all I can say is people dont send deposits on the first set of engines a supplier is recieving. If the bank doesnt trust them enough to give them a loan to pay for the engines why should you? Deposits should be reserved for suppliers who are of good reputation and have a track record for fulfilling orders in a timely fashion.

I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to post it here also

"I am a new member here, I have been lurking for a while and it seems funny how AZ calls Jon a liar and bans him but Cameron is apparently a liar also and has been protected....The only bad thing seems to be that Jon hasn't donated money to NICO.

If NICO's policy is to protect the ones who screw others and screw the ones that protect others, I am happy to say this will be my last time here.

It seems that Jon had nothing but good intentions to protect the Nissan community and his thanks is to be called a liar and to be discredited.

I have no business dealing with Night either way so I wont comment on his actions, just pose a question....

Didn't he lie also?"

Yup...an asset to Nico and the Nissan community...banned. Another reason to stay at Freshalloy...apparently you have to pay for posting rights here. Here is Jon's version of his business relationship with Cam.

--------------------What a dirty criminal. I met him through the guy I bought my clip from, RS Imports...Ryan Knowlton. He said that there was a local RB25DET "guru" that was intested in the exhaust that was included in my clip (Blitz realize TT cat back) and that he would like to talk to me about it. I ended up selling him the light from the clip for $150. I told him that I didnt know what they went for and that I wanted him to treat me fairly. That is what he said they were worth and I agreed to it. I even told him to take the grille if he wanted, I had no use for it. He ended up scamming the hood and fenders off the guy I bought the clip from saying that I had told him it was ok and that we had made a deal. Ryan ended up sending me some money for the sheetmetal because I had planned on trying to sell it. Part of my deal with him was that I would have access to his "technical knowledge of the swap" but when I called asking about wiring the gauges, all I got was "just extend the wires, there are like 40 of them" That wa all the help I got from him. I dont think he did the wiring on his own engine, but I could be wrong.

Fellow Nissan-lovers,

I've been following this case for the longest time, ever since Cam first posted here. I'm not here to make judgements about Cam or Jon's characters, I'm not here to say anything about business practices, I'm just here now to look at the obvious.

We will not be able to prove any kind of innocence or guilt until mid-Jan, so lets drop this argument. It's really none of our business anymore. All I can say to anyone thinking of buying anything from a medium in which there are no guarantees is "Caveat empor," or buyer beware. It's given that NICO shouldn't support criminals, but people forget Cam hasn't been charge with anything even. For all we know he could seriously have been having these problems. It's not a simple thing, to get engines, or else everyone would be doing it.

::sniffle:: can't we all just get along????

I'm not saying Cam is right, but I'm not saying this entire thing's his fault. You have to look out for number one sometimes, esp when doing business on the net.

Jon was banned because he repeatedly violated a NICO policy, then had the gall to email me directly and lie about his past business practices with Cam.

If you guys think Jon is some sort of savior, then you're really setting the bar low.

I have stated OVER and OVER and OVER: No one here is protecting Cam or NSR. Explain to me how he has been protected? If he can't deliver, then it will be reported here. I have never deleted a post critical of his business practices FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS DONE BUSINESS WITH HIM. Never. So again, I ask, how is he being protected?

What the hell do you want from us anyway? Let's hear it, since you've apparently got plenty to say.

If you don't like the way he's doing things, it's simple: Don't buy anything from him. But don't come into my house pissing and moaning about the way we do things.

Hashi - No one's gonna ban you. Settle down, and keep reading.

d240t2: How many times do i have to say this? If YOU do not have FIRST HAND knowledge of the issues, stay out of the thread.

I'm weary of this whole thing. Since you guys are apparently so damn smart, why don't you tell me what you'd like me to do. There has been more time wasted on this issue than ANY other issue in the history of NICO.

Interesting how the people who claim to have lost money post less here than their "groupies". Perhaps they are busy taking steps to rectify the situation instead of whining on a message board about something they know nothing about.

Because he chose to interpret you rules a bit differently you insult him? It seems to me if you look at the history of his posts he has done WAY more good than bad, but it is your forum and you run it the way you see fit. I don't agree with your policy here, but I don't have to.

No one is calling him a savior, only that I don't see how asking for explanation is such a bad thing.

This will indeed be the last time I visit this petty forum, he seemed to GENUINELY care about protecting people and always seemed to lend help wherever he could.

As I said, not my place to agree with your policy, but whatever.

FYI - For those of you who gave any credence to posts" made by JonPowell (half of this thread), let it be known that he has violated my policy of not commenting on business dealings with an advertiser UNLESS you are a current or former customer.

Since Mr. Powell misled me (and all NICO members) by stating he was, and by so vehemently attacking Cameron's business (when it turns out he has NEVER lost money to Cameron), he has been banned from the boards.

I can't tolerate liars.

I apologize that you all had to witness this. Carry on."

So Cameron. What happend to the Oct 25-30th dates you promised us with? You never came out and said exacty why you didn't get that shipment. These delays are stupid but even more stupid is the fact you can't keep in good contact with us when there is a problem. A simple email would be fine with an explination of whats going on. I got your message from my brother that you called. I would like to call you back but I don't have long distance at home. From what I have been hearing there is supose to be a shipment that you are expecting Dec 8th now. You can reply here or email with whats going on.

See, that's the problem. Jon Powell has helped a lot of people out w/knowledge he has gained from actually doing the swap. I had a few questions and he gladly relayed the info to me. I think its petty to ban him. I guess you must be the ethics police. There are plenty of people that lie on these boards. Most of them have nothing intelligent to add. Jon's posts have benefited this board. Seems like a personal issue between you and jon. Not something he should be banned for.

By the same token, Night should be banned for making promises on delivery dates of all these front clips. Those dates have come and gone w/people not receiving their merchandise. Is he being banned?

Like I said, Jon misrepresented himself.

No matter what I do, people are gonna piss and moan about it, so just get back to doing what you guys do best: Sharing info on motor swaps and upgrades.

Let us worry about management of the forums, please. I feel no need to explain myself, although I have numerous times.

Thanks.

DUDE everyone just chill man. Respectable people are leaving left and right because of pettiness and I dont blame them. I respect what Jon Powell did as much as the next guy...hell over at club240 I went on a similar rampage about Night awhile back, but that isnt allowed here and that is the rules. Leave it be. There are several other 240 forums where you can go ***** about Night and whatever other business you want without adverse effects (IE being banned) so go do it. And the more peopel go to other forums, the more RB info there will be. This isnt the only place 240sx owners gather. While I do feel we should be able to ***** about whomever we want just because...customer or not, I dont moderate ANY forums, I dont work for ths board, I dont sponsor anything, and I dotn make the rules, I live by em. SO chill. Ol boy was banned and while it sucks...this is the INTERNET. This isnt reality. LIfe goes on after NICO
