Hey all..

I am purchasing Eibach pro kit for my 2007 m45 sport..

I have 22" wheels.. 22x9 +38 all the way around.. 245/30 /22 (continental extreme contact tires) ride is almost just like stock btw!

I plan on doing kyb excel g sport model shocks front and rear as well as Eibach pro kit springs.

We're you guys able to get the factory camber back to specs?

Or did you HAVE to buy the spc/Eibach upper camber arms? Did you have to get front and rear done camber parts?

What did all you do when using Eibach springs?

I don'twwant to afford buying these tires over and over again..

thanks in advance..

Shawn

I would also want to know this information. Only reason I'm holding back from buying the springs is because I know the camber will be off. The camber kit is very expensive when new and I dont want to buy tires more than I should.

I am however waiting on a used set of Eibach springs and camber kit. If anyone is selling, LET ME KNOW! I have a 2006 M45 Sport.

I appreciate the tip on where to go mexmillis..

But do you have any info on the parts?

I did search and some say the alignment stayed in spec after Eibach u spring.. Some used camber bolts and some used camber arms..

I am also looking for a set of Eibach springs used as well as camber adjustment parts if possible.

I do remember a post where someone spent $25 on Eibach camber bolts (rwd only) and it worked great for them in front.

Just trying to get options.

If you go to auto anything. Com.. There is a sale on Eibach with a 10% rebate from Eibach which makes them around 240 shipped.. Brand new

I'm currently running H-techs w/KYB sport shocks, I also have the adj camber arms for the fronts (SPC which I've had for quite some time now) I'm aligned within specs for the fronts, and the rear is just slightly off (I don't have the spec sheet in front of me, but the rears I do not currently have rear camber adj). I will be installing the Eibach prokit this weekend and will most likely get the alignment the following day so I can compare the alignment sheets between the H-techs and Eibachs.

the SPC adj camber arms weren't expensive -- if you look and compare at the price of replacing front tires more quickly than normal, it's a good investment. Here's a link showing the part number. I got mine a few years back and I think I paid less than $250 or somewhere in that range - I don't remember...I got a good deal from my longtime wheel/tire guys.

I have a set of rear camber bolts (SPC new in the box) $30 shipped. Just installed front arms and rear bolts, now in spec, rides fantastic well worth the money.

I had eibach for a while and the camber never made me eat through tires. Any set of springs made for the M that I have seen posted here all had some negative camber even after alignment on stock parts. The fronts dont have adjustments and the rears do but they wont get back into spec without a kit. Since you have a square set up just rotate at 5k miles instead of 10/12k.

So your telling me that you can replace the camber bolts that are on the car now with the SPC bolts and it will be possible to obtain factory spec camber? Hopefully I can get the front in spec without any type of camber kit but I notice the rear wheels are usually the worst when any car is dropped so understandable if I need to replace those.

Can you provide a link for these? This will be the route I will go + eibach if this is true as its not that as expensive.

Just ordered kyb shock/struts front and rear for the $324 shipped from amazon..

However the sport and non sport kyb had the same part numbers..

Ordered eibach springs from autoanythin. Com for about $225 shipped with 10% rebate from Eibach. Because I had them beat the price of this site http://www.protuninglab.com/eibach-pro- ... i-m45.html

Hey I am looking to buy KYB shocks myself, do I need to buy anything else with the shocks like strut & shock mount (looks like only for the rear, how about the front?) or any other parts that maybe required. Thanks.

Hey Kongz...great deal you got -- congrats! I just got back home after picking up the car and driving around with the new Eibachs :dblthumb: I must say the car feels more planted than before (I was running H-Techs) and there is no body roll!! The ride is very sporty, tight steering, and comfortable. The ride is not harsh at all. I'm running a staggard set up on 19's so the amount of tire on the ground feels really good... I'll take the car out tomorrow morning for a few fwy runs and let the springs settle more then get aligned on Sunday....

overall, the Eibachs + KYB combo is a great combo for the price!! You'll be happy....

For the front.. I believe you will just reuse the upper pillow mounts from factory shocks. And as for dust boots. You will justhave to ssee the condition of your stockers. rear I believe you may need to buy upper mounts if you need them.. I didn' order them

Looking forward to it!

you're welcome!! I have a knack for changing things up on a regular basis (exhaust, wheels, suspension, etc) :)

since the adj camber arms (fronts) are the same for the M35 & M45, I believe it's the same as for the G35, so it might be a good idea to look at picking up a used set on the G forum classifieds... just a thought.

i have the eibach pro kit on my 06 M35 and i also had the eibach control arms installed recently. it was not that expensive like 230 shipped from autoanything.com if you mention this forum you can get the same price or close to it i ordered my set 6-7 months ago. the camber is still not to spec but my tires do not look like a Honda civic now but i still rotate every 5k miles this will help with tire wear.

Why aren't they in spec? Eibach springs don't lower the car alot.. So the camber isn't very aggressive.. Is it just that you haven't had an alignment done yet?

What did you do for the rear?

^ I checked on SPC Performance's site and they confirm that the front upper adj camber arms from the G35 SEDAN (rwd/awd) 07-08 are the same for M35/M45 06-2010

Sooooo....I went for a drive this morning and took the car on some various roads/fwys...the car is more planted to the ground compared to having the H-Techs. The cornering at speed was very comfortable and secure. Really a tight and snug feeling. I'll get the car aligned tomorrow but will opt for a little bit of rear camber for handling...

That is the one that I purchased last night on ebay for 269 shipped new.

I have an 2007 m45 sport.. I don't see why it wouldn't fit.. The numbers cross reference but some sites say they don't fit.

I also am debating on either the camber bolts for rear or the full rear arms that are adjustable.. Waiting on a good deal..

You need both?

From my understanding you can just buy the bolts.. (apprx $30 shipped).. and you have to elongate the stock hole to a more of an oval shape to get more adjustement.

And the arms if you just want to bolt them in and use the threaded rod for adjustment.. (Rods go anywhere from 150 - 300 for both sides..)

I am fairly certain you dont need both camber bolts and arms to make camber adjustments.

If you want to adjust camber & toe you need both bolts & arms, one can't do both. It's best if you buy the kit.

Thanks!

I went ahead and ordered these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/330943413520?it ... 60&vxp=mtr

Which are the same that you posted..

So now I have the

Eibach proline kit
SPC upper front camber arms
SPC rear camber arms
Kyb Excel G shocks and struts

Should be good I hope!

I was going to mess around with Ichiba or whatever.. but just as I remembered about my 300zx Twinturbo.. I never skimped.. only spl etc.. but that is more of a serious "racer" car... but I wanted good quality and customer service..

So I went ahead and paid the little extra for the "name brand" stuff..

thanks again for your help!

Sounds like you have everything you need. :dblthumb:

pending on how many miles your M has you may want to check your swaybar links, fronts go bad as early as 30k miles. Cheap and very easy to install.

Also try to get an alignment 30 days or 1,000 miles after installation, this will allow the springs to settle. Make sure you have a full tank of gas when getting the ailgnment.

Good luck with the install, Freddie
