I know this is sort of off subject, but I figured with all the St. Louis Nissan owners coming here, it'd be a good place to ask.

I've found that no one really knows my car. I feel like I get screwed at the dealer and I feel like other mechanics guess at what causes my problems instead of just telling me they don't know the car. Does anyone know of a really good mechanic in the St. Louis area who knows their way around a 240sx? If only Nistech was in St. Louis instead of Cali...<sigh>

Umm I really dont' know if there are any nissan specialist in our area but i really haven't gone out and looked. Whats the problems with yoru 240? I'm sure somebody in the forums would know and i sorta know my way around a 240, trying to slowly learn how to do all the repairs and mechanical stuff myself. Shoot me an email and i'll try to help you out.

I think Tuesday nights is Tuning Tuesdays at gateway. 20-25 bucks to race all night long. Correct me if I'm wrong but i think all the other nights are designated for specific race classes. I'll check out there site and see whats going on. I would say Hey 240 party at my place........ Unfortunatly I didn't make it to Nopi this year, but i made up for it in Toronto. The area i was in, Richmond Hill is heaven for street racing. Sooo many nice cars and every one wants to race, everyone should check it out up there at least once in there life. Well anyway i'm going to check out gateway's site and figure out when we all might be able to run up there.

Where do I begin? Let me start off by saying that I, personally, would love to start a St. Louis chapter for NICO... and God am I glad you made this post. I was honestly about to do the same thing just 2 weeks ago. I currently own an '89 green/gray 106,XXX mile 240 coupe (will be SR-powered in about 2 months, if I stop delaying). This is my second S13 and my fourth Nissan that I've owned in three years. My brother is also currently working on his second S13; a white '91 hatch with cooling problems. We recently finished de-ricing that poor car. My best friend just bought his third S13 (charcoal gray '90 hatch; full autocross suspension, major beater, but soon to be RB-ed). His girlfriend has an '89 red no-options hatchback. My other best friend owns a '92 charcoal hatch which we are currently extracting the KA from in order to replace it with an RB25 with McKinney motor mount kit. I've got another very knowledgable friend who owns a black '93 hatchback (Kouki tails, full drift suspension, will be SR-ed in a month). Yet another one of my friends owns a purple (factory!) S14 with an S13 blacktop SR20 and lots of Blitz bodywork and Intercooler parts. Then there's the odd one out who owns a '93 (?) maroon 300ZX TT (70,XXX original miles). Needless to say, I know that at least 5 of the people I just mentioned would love to attend Nissan meets here in the St. Louis area. Most of us use NICO as a means for advice and ideas. I have been using NICO for advice quite a bit over the past year-and-a-half (formerly S13HatchLuvr). I hope to hear more of this idea soon...
