I haven't had much issue with the few M3s I've come across either. I didn't have any problems with the newer M5 recently, but I suspect that had to do with the scared driver moreso than the capability of the car.

Sentient and Slider;

Pray for me to come across an M-3 some day on my secret track, as i did with an SRT-8, so that i can retest the M-3s capability once again. I await that day with much anticipation.

I have no love for hondas. But the CRX can be gutted to be stupid light. Like 1,800 lbs light. That alone could be a challenge.

But if the guy can't shift then there is no race.

sigh, i do not understand why people try and pick duels with other cars that they do not like on highways. Obviously its dangerous and reckless even if there are NO cars around whatsoever, but the fact that people would post on forums about their encounters with other cars such as M3's M5's "any honda" just give drivers a bad name. People need to turn the other cheek when someone stares you down or "tries to race you" on the highway. I've been stared at, revved at, even challenged by some drivers, but i always just look away and in the end i know i'm the better driver. Take your driving skills to the drag strip, autocross, track if you are a REAL driver. Or fulfill that HONDA stereotype of children drivers and take cars on the highway. This isn't aimed towards everyone on the forum but for the people that it does apply to learn to grow a and turn the other cheek. BTW i hate most BMW drivers i'm not gonna lie.

That Honda was probably gutted or it does not have a Honda engine in it.

I would hate to be the one driving the corvette... lol

I used to drive a honda civic hatchback... lol, it had no power... even with headers, testpipe, full exhaust, CAI, etc, it was still a POS honda, It broke down, and then my lil bro totalled it on some rocks when he fell asleep at the wheel... In any case, the CRX has potential, but I think it's a drivers race.... we're all Gunnin' for ya bro!!!!

Do you know anything about honda engines? Some are done up right. They have some fast honda motors. Also the biggest aftermarket for cars is for hondas. Not to mention they just swap motors or make their own frankenstein motors out of parts from other hondas.

The CRX can be made to be half our weight. And people love gutting those civic hatch backs. I wouldn't want to be in a car accident in any of these cars but they can be made to be stupid fast.

As for street racing. I must have missed that post. I thought they were going to a track.

TeflonG35:

I don't know much about Honda engines. Maybe the honda in that clip submitted by Jeff has a Frankenstein Honda Engine. And then, how long do those engines really last after any stressful run? I bet Honda gear heads buy engines like peanuts as they get blown from abuse. Thus, the thriving after market Honda engine sales.

You're correct! That civic was likely boosted with a 100 shot of juice, gutted, and completely frankenstien... lol

I've seen a Mazdaspeed 3 kick the pants of an RT/10.... again, it would suck to be the driver of the viper...

I never said how long they last. I can't goto the track without seeing hondas break down. Also like stated before "At the end of the day, It's still a honda."

But don't be surprised if some POS looking honda spanks you. They can be real sleepers if done up right.

I would generally agree with this as a possibility, as I learnt my lesson from a Dodge Neon SRT-4. Is till have some PTSD after my experience with the Noen.

At the track the srt-4s do low 13's all day. They are light and turboed. But is that speed worth being seen in a neon? I say no.

Yeah a few friends of mine have an srt-4. They're fun to be in on the track or when you're racing around in, but I would never own one. I don't think I could put up with having a car that's A) a neon and B) almost every person who has one is a douchebag.

"How would an SRT-4 fair against a G20 with and SR20DET?"

It might be an equal matchup between the SERs and the SRT-4 Neons

I was at the track once, there was a gutted 94 hatch with a K20 I think, ITB's. All motor running around 10.10's all day. Pretty quick lil thing

Oh IDK?

That 11 second Honda had a giant turbo and intercooler and was gutted. full cage and a single racing seat with harness. But it was 'street legal' LOL

I guess based on a technicality, you won. If his car won't start, then maybe it shouldn't even be competing with your G. what good is a car that won't start?
