Me and a co-worker are going to the track this weekend to finally settle whose car is faster. I have a bone stock 2004 6mt and he has a CRX with a GSR engine swap, intake, and headers. He swears up and down he will spank my car. Just wanted to know anyones opinions on how this might play out and if anyone has had similar run-ins

You should mop the floor with him, except he's 5x lighter, but in any case, THE PRESSURE'S ON!!!

If he's not putting any money down, I'd put my bet on you my friend, and I also hate ricers in CRXs

GO FOR THE KILL!!!

I have a buddy with a CRX that has a newer CRV's engine. It is stupid fast for a little car. I still haven't had a chance to race him. We can't ever get to the track at the same time.

I also have a buddy that just bought a 1999 Porsche Boxster. It has the 2.5 Liter. We are going to the track on August 8th. Should be fun.

Not sure who would win with those mods... but you better put her on a diet before you go... take out whatever can be taken out. Spare tire etc... oh, you may want to drive naked too...clothes add weight..

Please take a vid.

This should be interesting. Is his car gutted?

If you can get a good launch, I think you'll have him.

I was looking up teggies on Dragtimes. How do you turbo charge and have ITB? Supposedly fastest drag time was 8.9 seconds out of an LS with 38psi of boost with ITB and 150shot of NOS

Yah 3 in front and 3 in back. haha

But seriously I think you should win. I've been in a civic hatch with a GSR and it was kinda quick but I think yours has more 'balls'

I have a cusin that had a GSR swap in a civic and would run a 12.9 and 13.0 Qtr Mile!

I think the honda is going to win. I hate to say those words in the same sentence but he should win.. Power to weight.

I didn't mean to be a KillJOy... I really hope the G beats the pants off of it. I am a HOnda hater!

There is nothing I like better than Beating the $hit off of a honda civic at a stoplight...

Hopefully the P*$$y haha I would hate to eat a Honda.

But seriously don't streetrace, you never know how mad the honda driver might get. After you beat them and slow down they usually fly by ya like they won. He could be soo mad that he just keeps goin, people could get hurt. lol

If I did eat a honda though, then honda would be the *h1t, the sh1t I flush haha that saying is pretty dumb.

hey hey i know this is a nissan/infiniti forum and all but honda's aren't that bad. I think you guys hate the stereotype that most honda drivers bring the kids that think driving 90mph down residential is "gAnGsTar"

But hondas are a well engineered cars, NSX GSR S2000 to name a few.

honda's are very great cars. Lots of potential and reliable.

But most of the drivers are indeed ricers. I know there are some honda drivers that also hate ricers. There's Nissan owners that are ricers. But there's more honda rice than Nissan.

Yeah those Hondas can be stupid fast, a buddy of mine has a gutted b18b hatch with no AC or power steering and a 75 shot of cheater juice......insanely quick. I'm rooting for the G but think the CRX is going to win .

No Honda has ever taken me before, even a turbo charged Honda. Last time a Honda took me on, it just had a hard time keeping up with the wide band of my torque. Eventually, he did catch up, and you could hear the fighter jet sound of his turbo spooling. They are capable cars but they seem to have a very serious defficiency on low end torque. Well, this is where my after market mods have been very helpful---they spread the torque through a wider band than non-stock G-35 coupes.

The only little car that has handed me my a$$ is the Neon SRT-4. It will spank any Honda, all day long.

Another car that was well matched with me was a moded out Mustang--I suspect it wa sa cobra on that night

Three cars I will not mess with---a BMW M3, a Dodge Charger SRT-8, and a Lexus LS 460. Each one has handed me my a$$. They are out of the league of a non FI G-35. With FI, I think only the SRT-8 might be able to barely spank the G-35 Coupe.

Hmm sorry to hear about the M3's Jacko, seems as though my lowly autotragic sedan doesn't have too much trouble with them .

It is their really low end torque that makes it hard for my G to get their with the M-3.
