The recall proposition is getting closer and closer. For those who live in California, Im just curious as to how many are voting either yes or no? or who dont really care?

just interested in your opinions and thoughts.

Well, I think its pretty common knowledge that gray davis will not defeat the recall, especially with all the focus on all the candidates and not gray. So yes on the recall, but none of the candidates are really appealing, and the ones that are don't have much of a chance [mcclintock]

i don't like Davis, never have. I'll vote to recall him, but probably not on the new governor because I don't know enough about who would do a good job. Arnold might be ok, but I'm worried he doesn't know what he's getting into here. I just know he has good intentions, unfortunately that doesn't always work in government :(

California's politics are sad. Why isn't anyone in California recalling the state legislature who is just as much to blame for California's budget problems as the guv? . I'd like to see Mary Carey the p0rn star win. Much cuter than Ahhnolt, and I like her live webcam idea in each the governor's mansion bedrooms.

There are no real candidates running at the moment either...

He's not even voting for himself. He's voting for The Governator(Ah-nold).

I will be at the voting booth for sure, and I'm dragging my friends along with me.

I cannot wait to strike the "Yes" box that says "Do you vote to recall Gray Davis.

I'll vote for a shrubbery before I vote to leave him in office.

Reagan originally came from Illinois, so his time in California doesnt count. California gave us... BIG FRESH FRUIT! No wait, Florida has that too. Oh hell, I hope it sinks into the Pacific.

Yeah, California should sink into the Pacific...

...right along with 80% of the import industry.

If california sinks I think I'd worry about something more than the import industry. I'd probly be freaked out at the fact that it could actually sink. Also losing the worlds 6th largest economy would kinda mess stuff up.

I liked the TV clips that show signs at an Arnold rally that said, "Gray groped me while reaching for my wallet!".

What the heck is up with the MSNBC news article? Headline reads "Schwarzenegger wins in CA", but if you read the story, their disclaimer is "...as projected by NBC News based on exit polling...".

Anyone remember the movie "Demolition Man"? Stallone's character wakes up decades in the future and learns that Arnold became president thanks to the "61st ammendment".

DAED and others:

Although the projection was based on exit polls...

Currently with 31% of the precincts reported, Schwarzenegger is winning over Bustamante by over half a million votes. Looks to be Arnold all the way.

Nick

P.S. Everyone should have known this was gonna happen. Again the Democratic Party can't decide what it wants. It seems that most of the Democrats voting are either voting for Davis (against the recall) or Bustamante. That means while they split the vote...the main Republican candidate wins and McClintock really didn't have an effect on the election. Go Terminator go!

I know I don't post here much, just usually lurk, but I just thought I'd clear up that it was a two part poll, so you had to vote whether or not to recall davis and then vote on a replacement, so you could vote against the recall and then vote for bustamante at the same time without splitting any kind of vote
