I dont know about the last 2....but the maf is no biggie. I would actually go Z32 if you have any half decent power goals (250-300whp). But its your car, your call. If its not complete I hope your getting a deal...

Neither the MAF, nor the Ignitor are hard to come by. Check ebay and yahoo auctions. But then again, I'm in Canada. Dunno what you guys have in the way of businesses like importconcern.ca

vacuum reservior? what are you talking about?

as for igniter, z32 and q45 will work.

and mafs, you can use sohc ka, but it has been found by some to cause lean running conditions.

You can get both from a CA18DE (pulsar NX) from the junkyard. Make sure to get all the solenoids/check valves connected to the reservoir and under the airbox. You can get ignitors also from the earlier Q45s.

i knew nothing about the vacuum reservoir, theirs a shop called up garage and they speacalize in nissna swaps etc. he doesn't sell motor sets, just front clips and he charges 1900 plus tax, roughly 2100 in the end. he said that theirs a vacuum reservoir that is in the ca to help with torque or something. so thats why i ask.

ok so let me claryify what i need.

-kae or q45 maf-ca ignitor chip (ebay)-vac reservoir from the pulsar nx.

thanks

I know forsure the KAe when wired properly will work.

the Z32 will work with a SAFC and is the best for the cost.

any other maf will work with a SAFC

as for the ignitor q45 is ideal.

make sure the dropping resistor is intact on your harness.

Heres the ignitor you want.

The one you posted is from the newer Q45's.

For pics of the reservoir and the "how to", look here:zerothread/225309

If your junkyard has the correct pulsar (nx se 1.8L) I would take a printout of all the vacuum components and grab everything similar from the junked one...just remember it will be the same components just arranged in different spots since its front wheel drive. As I recall most of the parts were under the airbox (had to take it off to get to the parts). The vacuum canister was near the firewall I believe. You might also grab the injector resistor which is on the firewall also incase your motorset doesnt come with one.

Your MAF question.....dont use Q45.....unless you have have SAFC or socketted ECU with ROM programmer. Even then, Q45 maf isnt all that. I would go with KAE or buy an oem maf from someone on here.

The ignitor and vac tank can be pulled from either the CA16DE or CA18DE Pulsar NX SE. The vac tank is on the same bracket as the carbon canister (the smaller one is the vac tank) and you only need 1 of the solenoids for your butterflies. the ignitor is attatched to the head right where the coil pack sub-harness exits the coil channel.

The vac tank is used to aid in smoothness for the butterfly system present in the intake runners.

Did you get the check valves in addition to the solenoids? Check valves are round plastic things with nipples on each side.
