Where could i find a good deal on a ca18det? Osakajdm and flashoptions, from what i hear, are garbage. Japanmotorimport.com seems pretty good, and they advertise on club240.com Does anyone have any other suggestions or are a vendor?

It is unlikely that I can source a CA18DET front clip. They are expensive to ship and you have things on it that you are responsible for disposing of.

The only reason Im thinking of getting one is because I need to do a 5sp swap at the same time.

There are 6 motorsets coming in next week, but only 3 have harnesses (this will be confirmed when I inspect them). The engine sets are between $1300-$1350 and your shipping will vary according to your locations and where you prefer delivery, either to a business or a residence. First cash, gets the engine. First come gets the best set. All engine sets are to be delivered as they arrive to my friend's warehouse. I can care less about what kind of goodies they have and neither does he, so if it comes stroked to 2 litres, then you will be the owner of a CA20DET. I highly recommend you guys pursuing your own shipping because in most cases you can get a better quote from a shipping company nearest you or will to deliver to your area for a better price than he can get.

I'm in Miami, Florida, but the warehouse is probably 6 miles from my house. Judging from the way he does business and from what I've seen, I'll safely guesstimate your shipping to be about $250-$270.

The complete engine set along with a clutch pedal and clutch master cylinder and you should be just fine. Finding a driveshaft and a transmission mount is not hard at all, but I understand what you're saying.

Hey Dee, I am planning a CA swap for my '90 hatch, for a motor and all the goodies to make it work, what would I be looking at? I live in Canada, don't know if you can ship up here though. my area code is n0b2n0.

If that's what you want, then anything is possible. The only issue with that is, it's very hard to find one anywhere and if you want one, you're going to have to order it and wait. You may get lucky and catch someone on ebay selling one, but then again, that's sheer luck as front clips take up a gang of space in shipping containers.

To all of you who are interested in getting a CA18DET engine set and have heard from me via email, if you are serious about buying an engine set through me, I would strongly suggest not procrastinating too long. The sooner you pay, the more secure an engine set is for your. Harnesses are hard to come buy, so what some may see as the cheap-o route by buying an engine/transmission and then try to source a harness as well as other components, you're up for some disappointment. So if you're going to buy from my source or through whomever, don't wait too long or you may end up with junkyard-junk.

Dee
