Two complete ones that are clean. Procrastinators keep on procrastinating. If you're really interested, don't snooze.

Hey dude, looking into getting a CA for my car. Car previously had a spun rod bearing so I replaced it with another SOHC, but something tells me this one isn't going to last to long either. So if ya could, get back to me with some info. That would be awesome and greatly appreciated. I'm located in 01013 BTW. Thanks man!

Two questions:

1. Do you carry auto CA motorsets?

2. Would you be willing to install stuff prior to sending a motor out (for a fee of course)?

The answer to question 1 is "no", but there might be an auto transmission around my friend's warehouse somewhere.

The answer to question 2 is "Yes". Anything you would like me to do can be done, for a fee of course .

Why would any of you guys take out the 2.4L engine and swap to a 1.8L? That's crazy. Also, $1400 for the CA is WAY TOO MUCH. You can get an RB20 for about that. I just paid $1600 plus $325 shipping for the RB20DET, transmission, ECU, UNCUT harness, AC lines, drive shaft, speed cable and the entire rear subframe from a R32. It even had the calipers and ebrake cable on it. http://www.superiortradinginternational.com. Get their number from the site and call. Ask for a guy named Jimmy. He hooked me up. The prices on their site are not the same as the actual ones, as long as you know how to talk turkey. I'm about to drop a CA18DET into my 85 AE86 GTS coupe. It's gonna be nice as long as I build the internals.

Because the RB20 is a big fat heavy pig. The swap also is much harder to perform than the CA swap. If you've got anything else negative to say, please keep it to yourself, or post it in a different thread.

AND not all peeps in here can fit a RB20 like ME for example. and I didn't buy from Dee cause it was the best price. i bought from Dee cause i know that when i get the motor i will get an awesome motor that wasn't peiced together from 8 different cars and also if i ever need help he would only be a phone call away and would help with pleasure. Its not about the product (at least for me) its the unity and the customer service included.... he is just trying to spread the CA18 love out there.... so i am with float.....

I'm not completely knocking the CA or the difficulty in swapping. I just fail to see the logic in dropping down that much in displacement. How in the hell was anything I said that negative to deserve that kind of response anyway? If I was disrespecting the CA I wouldn't have said I was putting one in my AE86. The CA in my opinion is superior to the "boat anchor" SR. I understand sharing the CA love. I'm just trying to help people in the 240 community to save money on engine sets. The place I bought mine did a damn good job on removal and shipping. NO SENSORS BROKE, NO CUTS IN THE HARNESS, and MOST IMPORTANTLY NOTHING WAS MISSING. I'm just tryin to share my connection with my community, homie. If you all felt disrespected then I apoligize. I'll post my money saving tid-bits in another thread.
