Buying an EX35 in today's economic climate

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I got my EX35 RWD for $32,000,(MSRP $43,394), Nav, Prem, Wood trim, Lux, Splash guards, Roof rails, Cargo mat, and some small stuff. Out the door was $36,000, CA Tax, lic and fees are very high, unlike most other states.

I put $26,000 down, finance $10K for 5% APR, since they gave me the $5K cash rebate plus $6,394 off. Now that is a sweet deal. Best of all, the car is being shipped here now from Japan. Its on the ship. That means no miles on it. Yippie!!

10K at 5% over 60 months is $1,400. That is a steal. That comes out to be $23.33 in interest a month. Hell that is nothing. I will pay my loan off within 2 years, so my interest will be about $600.00

Hi all, my first post here.

Just got my EX35 this past Saturday (5/16/2009) from Infiniti of Manhattan:

2008 EX35 Journey AWD in BlackOptions: Premium, Navigation, wood, splash guards, roof rails, rail crossbars, & cargo mat. I think it's seriously the second-to-last inventory in that trim left in the tri-state area.

MSRP $43,125Invoice $39,384Paid $33,400 (after $5,000 + $500 incentives) + $865 destination charge + NJ 7% Tax + DMV/misc fees = $37,060 out the door (give or take a few bucks) before financing (got my own).

0.9% would have required $5,000 additional, but with Chase auto loan of 4.69% APR (3 or 4 years; need 700+ credit score), taking the $5k discount was the much better choice.

I just also ordered a third-party $22 cargo organizer from Amazon (MSRP $160!).

I've read that 2010 model will have bigger rear leg room, due to all the complaints (mine included), but I'm still happy with the bargain I got.

Just to let everyone know that with the more leg room comes with a higher price tag and no bargains. No $5000 cash rebate off of invoice. Plus with the more leg room, the car will be slightly a little longer. This is what I heard from Infiniti. Any larger car, mine will not fit in my garage, since I have garage cabinets all the way around and several refrigerators that I need for the space. I am very happy with my deal.

I dont know about you all, but I rather save 10K vs having more leg room. DUH!!!
