Anyone ever change out any of the bulbs. Something like silverstar 9005 for the high beams.

I tried the Sylvania bulbs when I had my Vibe. Found they only lasted about a year. Super bright...but not long lasting. And for the price, I think I will stay with the standard halogen.

autozone sells the best replaceable for about $70 per set... (2 sets if u want the fogs changed).

as he said the bulbs dont last long...

a lightweight HID ballast and bulb kit cost average $150 a set...

HIDs dont flicker, last a much longer time, use less energy i believe... and produce a brighter... cooler light... which looks much betta when ppl see u drive by...

might as well just save ur money and get the HIDs... just my OPINION

I can understand the notion of going GID for the fogs which are h11. Guess my main question s was for the high beams which are 9005. Anyone try a higher wattage and different degree of color?

ur LOW beams are ur main headlights u use at night

fog lights are the 2 lights on the bottom

HIGH beams are seperate bulbs that come on only when u turn ur high beams on

i think u mean has anyone changed their low beams...?

there is a thread floating around named post ur HID lights or something

and it has pics of ppls rouges with HIDs... bright whites... yellows... blues...

thats what u lookin for?

and wattage for HIDs,,, i kno its less than the regular halogen just dont kno the exact number

EDIT-one of the threads

Yeah IK know I have d2r hid low beams and can change the color etc of those. I live in the country and use my highs a little more. I hate the yellow color (4300k) and wanted to go to a 6000k and maybe a higher wattage. I went to a 85watt h11 fog bulb and but didnt pay attention to color. Will have to rebuy some of those or go HID fogs as everyone suggests. Thanks for all the info.

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I bought on Ebay 5800K (blueish light) 9005 bulbs for 1US$.http://search.ebay.ca/search/s...fgtp=Shipping to Canada was about 10$ so you have a pair of 9005 bulbs for about 11$ shipped. For this price, of course, they are made in China, but seller is in California.

I have it for about 4 months now, no problem to date.

In canada, high beam lights are used for DRL at mid power, that is why I chose them as I wanted my DRLs to be white (blueish light at mid power= white).

I am at work and I cannot upload the picture on photobucket, but if you want to see the difference between stock and the 5800K (at mid power), tell me and I will upload it from home.

Thanks for your info and time. I was looking at these.

While for a different car still a 9005 and doesnt matter. What I was looking at was they are 8000k which is blue and 100 watts. Do you think the rogue can handle 100 watts?

It is gonna be hot . Bad joke!

I know some people run 85W low beam bulbs on different cars instead of the standard 55W without apparent problems, so why not 100W high beam bulbs instead of the standard 65W.

It depends if Nissan toke some margins for their wirings or if they had played it cheap.

For how long will you run the high beams on your way home?

You could try it little by little and check the temperature/condition of the wiring. If it gets hot, you may have to come back to stock (at least 65W).

Do you want to be our guinea pig?

blueis300, how hard is it to replace the Rogue fog light bulbs? Did you have to remove the plastic lower bumper piece or can you get to the bulbs from the back side?

I just removed the 3 screws for the plastic cover. It moves out of thje way. I first started to remove the push plugs to remove the plastic piece and then realized it wasnt needed.

Look at page 8-28 of your owners manual. They are actualy torx screws. Undo those 3 and push the plastic piece out of the way.Reach up for the fog light and it will only turn one way.

Thanks, got it all checked out. Now I need to decide which H11 bulbs to get either hyper yellow or ultra white?

I went with a 6100k which isnt enough color change for me. Might buy some 8000k that will be the same as my 9005 high beams.
