I already ordered my engine from Tiger Japanese and they are a pain in the fu.cking ***, I don't recommend them at all. I called and place an order Wednesday, they said it would ship out later that day but it didn't called back Thursday to see if it had shipped yet, it hasn't called back Friday and they tell me they don't have an ECU or wiring harness to sell but on Wednesday they said they did, so now I was contemplating on ordering it still from them engine only and sourcing my wiring harness and ecu elsewhere I should have just canceled my order. The guy there does not know how to add properly at all, they charged me 2300$ for a motorset that costs only 2278$ so they then deducted the harness and ecu for 400$ but I told him he did the math wrong and it should cost me only 1778 for the motor shipped but he tried to make me pay 1900$ so now he said I have to wait for a refund and they took 2300$ out of my account, fun fun fun.

Fans costed 295 with thermo controls, from 240sxMotoring.
dude....... jdm-online.com, super cool people. i payed the same price 2300.00 for my COMPLETE swap. u get to chose if you want the Side mount inter. and the piping. i snoosed because i told em i wanted the intercooler also but when i saw it, i knew it was too small so i got a greddy kit. i threw away $400 but o well i got a CLEAN engine. so if u get everything else besides the intercooler and piping you will pay only 1900.00

Got my engine today, don't really know what to think of it really ha, doing my swap soon maybe Sunday it will go in since I got access to the shop next door which has a car lift, engine lift and various tools and he also designs his own wheels: http://www.dforcewheels.com/

More parts came in Monday and today and I am still waiting on coilovers which shipped today and still need to order a clutch pedal assembly and slave maybe a master cylinder too and a hardline woooooooooooooo!

A lot of pointless engine photos.

To lazy to take a photo of my 1 piece steel drive shaft.

I just want to get this project done and over with.

Just a side note. If you start it up and theres a misfire on a couple cylinders, you can try beating the injectors with a hammer and extension to knock free the internals. I had an SR swap (USDM) in a sentra freak me out till I talked to one of my old school buddies about that.

I haven't been able to even touch my engine but JEsse (NismoDriver240) is coming up on Sunday to drop the engine in and we'll check things over, right now I'm pulling the KA and the exhaust is rusted on and the driveshaft is not even coming off.

Wow bringing this back from the dead haha, I basically gave up on the project well not really I just put it on the back burner for a long time heres a summed up version of the past few months, girlfriend broke up with me, got back together, quit my job, worked at my parents, towed the car back from the shop and then for some reason I got really motivated and started working at it again. Today Shane(ShaneLach), Sam my dad and I replaced the brakes and suspension.

Here are some pics I'm really lazy to type up what has been finished.

New work space for now.

First coat of primer was etching primer.

5 gallon's worth of oil and coolant, I have about 20 more 1qt bottles in the garage haha.

I hate you engine.

Purchased these last night with brand new rear rotors with SS lines for $460 still need to purchase an e-brake assembly though

2nd coat of gray primer.

I seen someone else use this on here and it came out really nice and glossy.

After about 2 bottles of the appliance paint now just waiting to clear it.

Before swap

After swap, you can't see it but I also installed my GR PRO+

Calipers needed a 5-10mm spacer I forget what size it was to clear the caliper, wheel specs are 17x7 +42 ordering some 20mm from PBM to soon fix the sinking ship.

I have the front mount mounted, just need to drill the holes. Sound deadner is the next thing for the interior to come out and then some type of sound deadner will replace it. Seats will be probably eBay knock offs or something not sure quite yet. Few things I have to do to the engine prior to dropping it is resurface the flywheel, order new flywheel bolts, replace rear main seal and most likely front main seal then its ready to drop in.

All I need is a motor and transmission and my car will run...

Rears are done.

Recovered the glove box and center console.

Getting it's first wash in probably half a year.

Fronts are sitting higher due to not having an engine.

Wet sanded

Painted and polished

Front bumpers back on

Exhaust sits really low

Hammered my fenders, this was before.

Hammered, now I just need to order my hicas delete bar and toe control arms.

Started to put my interior back together.

Made a sticker...

Holler

lol nice sticker. I like the rim color, but offset is mediocre. I shouldn't be complaining because you got them for free...

Fix up that SR (teardown and rebuild imo lol) and git r done!

If you go to Jo - Ann fabrics not sure if you have one out where you live but they sell head liner specific material and it's really nice and soft.

Headliner was from Jo-Ann fabrics and glue was 3M Super 77. I didn't strip it because I had a moon roof and it felt really flimsy so I just kept the old material on since it was still in good condition.

They guy who was suppose to sell me the motor flaked, so I'm looking for one now. My Fel-Pro complete engine gasket kit came in, HICAS delete bar came in as well. Just need motor, transmission, clutch and car should be running.

I used PBM 20mm spacers front and rear, I probably would have went larger maybe 25mm.

I wouldn't have purchased these but I got them for free so I didn't complain about the bad offset and size. But I'd go with something wider than a 7 for sure.

I sold my SR to purchase my motorcycle haha. I sold it dirt cheap with wiring harness, stage 1 Exedy clutch, Trust downpipe.

Friend gave me a KA and I'm probably going build this one up to handle boost.

Yea!

Are you in Dracut too? Every once and a while when I drive around Lowell/Dracut/Chelmsford I see 240s.

Then I get giddy. lol
