I'm more interested in the engine than the car wrapped around it.
It's a W-16, not a V-16. It's two narrow-degree V-8's cooked together at the crankshaft. The crank must look like a work of art, I wish they had a shot of it. Can't even imagine the kind of development time that went into that thing, or the maintenance costs to keep it running.
I have heard scuttlebutt about other automakers (Caddy & DaimlerChrysler) looking into producing 16-cyl engines, but they were V-16s IIRC, big long honking blocks, not a compact W-16 like this one. A very interesting engine, if incredibly excessive.
