I'm glad you posted that video. The 240sx on the other vids I've watched didn't sound as loud as your's. That exhaust almost sounds louder than my current one which has a Magnaflow muffler and a backwards glasspack as a resonaor (which doesn't do anything). I have the Hotshot header as well. Do you think you could do a video of crusing at say 70 mph? I'm most interested in getting a quiter exhaust for my long highway trips.

**After looking at your spec's campared to the other car's I'm guessing the difference is because you have the 2.5" while they have the 2.25." This really sucks b/c I already have 2.25" and a magnaflow muffler. So I'm basically paying $575 to quite my exhaust some and get SS.

I have a 2.5inch BRM with 14inch resonator (all stainless) and a magnaflow high flow cat...

Sounds a bit less raspy..not sure if it's as noisy though..

I ought to shoot another video, cuz its got a more mellow sound now that ive put about 2000 miles on it. Ill be shooting another video later on in October when my SR swap is done, so everyone can have w/KA and w/SR sound clips.

how'd you get a 22inch resonator with the 2.5inch ss? i thought only the 14inch resonator was available for the ss? \: D

The resonator isnt stainless The rest is, but i wanted the quietest sound possible and theyll put together whatever you want out of what theyve got, so I had them put on the 22" aluminized resonator on my otherwise stainless exhaust.

Its coming down in a week or two when I get my SR underway so I'll treat it externally with hi-temp rust inhibitive paint.

If it ever rots out it'll be easy to replace.

Nice job on the vid! +1 for the BRM. I'v been wanting one ever since I saw/heard the first videos that people posted.

Has the dual tip design changed at all? I was considering the round canister only because the dual-tips looked too long(extended from under the bumper too much). But that doesn't look bad at all.

:yum:

::edit:: BTW how was fitment? It looks like it tucks nicely, but anything too close? ::edit::

BTW I don't see the dual-tip design for sale on brm's web site... when did you purchase it, and what price(if I may ask)?

look at the top of the forum this thread is in, there's a sticky for "new! exhaust for S13/S14!"

I think the dual tip design has changed slightly, im pretty sure it used to have smaller tips but I think the style I have is here to stay. it was $575 shipped. Its been on my car since August 22nd (?).

Fitment was decent. I had to slot the rear most flange a little to rotate the rear half of the exhaust, because with the front half installed the weight (or something) was making the tips come out at like a 20° angle. Didnt effect performance but it looked sloppy... also one of the rear most hooks didnt catch its hanger well enough, (i think it happened during shipping cuz that hook was poking out of the box when i got it) but it was easy to bend back with a torch and a little "love". Both of these problems were easy to work around. Im still very pleased with the exhaust.

Nice Vid. Kinda weird that your exhaust sounds identical to mine (3 inch BRM 22" resonator and dual tips). I always thought that the 3 inch was way louder than the 2.5 inch. Guess not on an N/A KA24DE. I also don't have a cat right now (I will after my SR swap is finished however, because it makes the exhaust crazy dirty). Looking foward to hearing what yours sounds like after the SR. Maybe then yours will be quieter than my SR.

Here are a couple pics of mine
