Well, it's been on for a week / 400 miles, so its most likely as 'broken in' as its gonna get. I'm pleased with performance but I must say after hearing other NA-KA exhausts in person I was expecting it to not be as raspy as it is, but its primarily when Im driving hard... and may be because of my Hotshot header.

http://www.recordedmemory.com/240/exhaust.wmv <2 min vid (plz ignore the ploom of smoke )

I think I'm going to go with the single tip. Those duals are too big for my liking! I've been in the air about this for a while now. That last picture convinced me! Congrats on the purchase, I can't wait until I can buy mine!!

What's up with that soccer mom pulling out in front of you? What a prick. People and their skewed perception of speed. For a second i thought you were in PA till i looked at your location. Ah, they're just as bad up there

Sounds real good! I like the vid.

yea, the dual tip looks real clean, i have been looking for an exhaust like that myself, i refuse to put a exhuast on my car with a fart can or a freakin bazooka attached to it.

If you want to get rid of that "Raspy" Sound then get rid of that (marked in red on pic) and replace it with either a cat or a test pipe!

um you mean my driveway??

thanks all for the comments... i was hoping i could help a few people wanting BRM's to decide either way. And yea that's my stock cat... I put a high flow cat on my cougar and it got raspier so i dont want to do that. I know, I'll just turbo it! the turbo should eliminate all the rasp

edit: The green wheels were from the drift event i attended (before i had the exhaust [damnit!]), long story short they had the most tread on them so i kept them on for a few days.

Oh...Is it at least a long drive way I just know that gravel roads that look like that can be alot of fun to drive on with the sliding, and the countersteering and what not.

Unfortunatly theres not a lot of room to get sideways in my driveway, its not THAT long...

but yea the sliding and the countersteering on loose surfaces is way hetero..

I love when theyre about to pave a road and they lay down those little gray pebbles, thats such a perfect surface... when i had my old volvo 240 station wagon i tore **** like that up like mad. Now in my coupe i just do it on dry pavment instead.

she drives an acura so shes more important than him, she can pull out and cut him off and then go 15 mph under the speed limit because its her job

yeah theyre everywhere...

anyway very nice, i still have to do one of mine at higher speed, my favorite sound is when i get on it in 3rd or 4th

Wow, that takes a while with 56k. (Acually 30.6k, booo) Sounds pretty decent though. My brother's (89 w/ 95 engine + homemade 2.5" exhaust) sounds very similar in tone, but quite a bit louder. He likes it, but I say it's too loud. I'm positive the neighbors hate it and he's been pulled 5 or 6 times for loud exhaust. From what I can tell, your's isn't quite as loud or abrasive. Should do ya just fine.

My '95 with 3" OBX exhaust and stock header is quiet at idle, with good mellow tone through the midrange and right to the redline. Medium to med/high volume. (RPM dependant) I like it, but sometimes wish it had a little more 'rasp' right up top, to make it sound a little more mean. Probably a tradeoff, can't have it both ways?

BTW, why did you bother to stop at the sign on the way home, but not on the way out?

More like the other way around, BRM uses Magnaflow mufflers and resonators to make cat-backs for us Nico people.

It's funny that's the thing i noticed most about the vid, the odacity of that person. Just reminded me of the drivers around here.

As far as the raspiness, that's because BRM is using Magnaflow's 'racing series' its' basically just a resonator itself, no baffles to muffle out the tone, although your car didn't sound raspy to me in the vid the resonator probably alleviated most of it. Mine is much more raspy (i have some freebie pacesetter exhaust with a Magnaflow racing series welded on)

Sorry DVD, I thought i had quoted AZHitman.

To answer your question though noone's asked me if it was stock. However my friend said he had to look twice to notice that it was aftermarket.

& yes my town went from small middle class nice and quiet to like #14 of top 100 places to live in money magazine... over the past couple years my town has been flooding with either really rich young professionals with trophy wives, or people in serious debt. either way they all drive like ***holes. Not that i dont zip around town myself, but I dont have an SUV drivers 'i drive this huge thing with no passengers cuz i can afford to even though its raising your gas prices and polluting the earth and taking up 2x as many parking spaces, and dont tell me who i cant pull out on, i can get in front of whoever the UFCK i want cuz ive got the monster off roader but i dont like to drive through rain puddles' mentality.

Hey! Sounds like Hockessin DE! I work in Hockessin at a retail pet food store and I overheard some customers who bumped into some friends of theirs refering to that article and that Hockessin made it on the list . Me and my friend/co-worker started laughing real hard behind the counter. "Best places to live" -- that's strictly in a crime-rate sense, because any place that has a bunch of richies living in it is a living hell. They have no personalities, they think they are entitled to having their a$$es wiped by the cashier at the local grocery store, and they drive like asses (because being book-smart and having 'horse-sense' usually NEVER goes hand-in-hand) and their kids act like they are hardcore gangsta's hanging out at the local convenience store but they have to be home by 10pm. Ok, that's my rant, i'm sure you'll agree.

lol, theres about 6 kids, *KIDS,* like 16-18 who have STI's and EVO's who hang out in front of duncan donuts... bathed in AXE body spray no less. the rest drive crotch rockets, A4's or Passats/Golf 1.8t's, etc. The whole gang-star thing never really took off. its just a bunch of dope addicted rich kid metrosexuals these days. And the biker dudes kids who are all dirty and smelly and drive lifted '87 F350's.

yea i know what youre talking about.
