ok if the muffler is a 4" round, then what is the size of the "resonator"?

i just bought a 4" round and it looks like your resonator. or maybe its some kind of optical-dillusion.

No they are not. Here are some more pics that may better show the difference.

Click each pic for the large version

Resonator and Muffler side by side. This is immediately after I opened the box. I thought Greg gave me a free CAT when I saw the blue box, but I think he was just teasing me. Still have to replace the damn cat...

Regular sized milky way beside the muffler so u can better judge the size.

Same milky way on top of the muffler. The milky way has since met it's doom........................

Hope these help.

I think you have an optical illusion going on. The muffler tip is 4" round. I do not know the diameter of the muffler canister. Maybe Greg can give us this information?

i kinda thought that looked funny. since you say its a 4" tip i would then guesstimate the muffler is a 6" round jobber.

thanks for replying MAXIMUS.

LOL - That's one way we keep prices down, recycling all those damn cat boxes!

(That, and the little Asian kids we have chained to the tables in the shipping department).

What came in the cat box anyway. Was it that new Milky Way measuring device?

here are some movies that were made rather quickly today.

This One is a few clips joined together. You need the Xvid codec to view it.

And this one is of my air horns. Someone asked for me to post it. Don't remember who.

Thats not a good driveby You slowed down before you actually "drove by" lol

What kind of horn is that exactly?

I get a general idea of how the exhaust sounds...hella deep and nice, and definitely sounds like a boxer.

I know what you mean but there are a few disclaimers that should be made. I never said this was a driveby, it was my wife driving, in our neighbourhood with kids around. I still need to find a seculded spot to do what I really want to do.

As for the horns, they cost $16 at a discount hardware store. Really simple wiring job, not the cleanest I've done but I'm too lazy to go back and tidy it up.

Click the pics for larger versions

Horn location I chose. They could have been put elsewhere but right here is fine for now.

Terminal Connection aith a 40 (ohm?) fuse. The setting calls for a 25, but it won't hurt to use better.

Compressor location.

Wire routing. I'm lazy, I know, but it works. When I install an intake system, I'll clean it up.

Hope these help.-MAX

Ah, my mistake. lol

I wish I understood elecrical talk, I have NO idea what you did to wire those horns, but even still a good job. I wish I could wire something else up thats louder.
