ew. that concept is ugly. I can see how they tried to use lines from the original silvias there, but that's just nasty.I think Nissan should bring out a roadster and compete with Mazda. That wouldn't really compete too much with their existing offerings.

Unfortunately, that body's a photoshopper's pipe dream. More than likely it'll be somewhat based on the s15, with some MINOR design cues taken from the Foria concept and some more "modern" styling. Personally I'd like to see them modernize the s13 or s14 Kouki, but from an economic standpoint and from the reports of their design team, it'll probably end up as a reinvention of the s15.

i say they just reproduce the s15 and sell it over here as a 2010 hahahah. no one non nissan would know the difference they would see it as a brand new car.

I'm pretty sure they'd NOTICE, but I doubt they'd care as long as they rework the engine to pass U.S. emissions (the SR20VET might work for that, dunno really). Anyway, they also want something to sell in Japan, so they're almost certainly going to make something new. I personally would love to see the s15 in the U.S. market, but a new car along the lines of the old Silvias would be great, and I'm pretty sure that's what they're going for.

I can only see them releasing an new chassis to compete with the FT-86 and the Genisis coupe which are in the 19-24k bracket.

It's a possiblity to happen. But I'm not counting on it.

I'll take my S14 over any of these any day.

I like my 240 for a reason. Putting me into a new "S-chasis" isn't going to automatically make me like it.

I vote releasing the s15 in the states and scraps these ugly modern "things." Oh, except the silver one!

If they ever discontinue the GT-R... which I'm sure they will in the beginning of the next decade, That's when we'll see something else like the 240.. They're gonna have to drop one of their sports cars.. They dropped the 300zx in 96 and let the 240 run till 98, then 5 years later the 350 comes out.. I'm sure something like this will happen again within the next decade.... In the mean time what we're gonna see are the geni coups with 2jz swaps lolz. I'm actually looking forward to the aftermarket to start picking up on these cars.

They won't drop the GTR without having another car replace it. It's their halo car and without it Nissan just ends up with no identity. With the new FT-86 coming out and the already released Genesis Coupe, the sports car is having a resurgence and Nissan would be stupid not to jump on the ~20k USD market segment....much like Honda which has completely dropped all of the performance cars save the Civic.

BTW, cars would never be as light as our old S13s/14s/whatevers. Airbags, emissions, safety equipment, gadgets, blame all those things for increasing bloat in today's cars.

^ they discontinued the Z32 and 240sx because of the sales were horrible. The market was flooded with FR platforms in the 90s, not because In house competition between makes. The Z32 was in a whole diffrent price bracket than the 240. Nissan almost went bankrupt in the 90s.

They brought back the Z because it's just not Nissan if there is no Z in the line up, and they needed something to compete with RX8.

And that is the only way I can see Nissan bring back the S-chassis is to compete with the Mustang, Camero, Genisis, FT-86, Lancer, WRX, Civic, Miata, etc.....

NOTE: I did not say Challenger, Corvette, STI, EVO, GT500, RX8, etc...... That is what the 370z is for.
