glad you guys like the yard and the car!!lol

i got board today after work so i droped my rear subframe,it took like half an hour by myself.

the factory sub bushings seem to be just fine but i am upgrading to some soild unit's(in which i will be picking up tommoro)

i am going to start taking off the suspension arms down to bare subframe to be cleaned and painted.an rsr d1 spec bushing kit will be next to be installed and full ISIS Suspension Arm Package.

also the complete underbody of the car will be spot welded and i have to finish the rest on the bay and cabin.

can i haz cambers?lol(yes my car is being supported by tires)

there's so much to do on this car that i can make a list that takes up 2 or 3 pages, but for now thats it until later!!!!

btw!! this is what 5500+ d1gp usa englishtown fliers looks like!!!!can anyone spot nicoclub.com on the flier?

yes it does say 40 lbs! the ups guy struggled to get it to my door step!LOL

o.k so after canceling my order of the fuel system parts,i started to think more out of the box and came up with a idea that has been done on many cars(mostly full fleged racecars) but not on a street legal s-chassis (or any s-chassis in that matter)and that idea is a rear mounted radiator. i looked at a old picture of the jun auto mechanic series 1 d1gp gdb impressa and liked the idea of the rad in the back of the car,so after a few hours debating on it,i am going to do it. people are already telling me that i am biting off more than i can chew with this idea.but i dissagre. this complete build is a challenge,no one said this was going to be easy.i have a few ideas of placement of the rad with the fuel cell but nothing drawn yet. twin e-fans will be used, with a aluminum shroud directing airflow under the car and out. driver and pasenger side quarter windows( might!!!!) be replaced with lexan for air ducts.the rad will not be placed lower that the subframe.rough draft's will be posted tommoro.fellow nico member ideas welcome!!!!!

here is top secrets nardo v12 jza80 with a rear mounted rad for reference.enjoy!!!!!!......end....

and just for kicks here's a sr powered s2000!!!!!!......end...x2......

Sandblasting should work much faster then a wire brush.

Worked much faster for my swap
nightsleek240coupe wrote:does anyone here know what i can do to restore factory nissan bolts?
I also sand blasted and painted my rear end.

Hopefully this helps

well i have not updated in a while but some progress was made today. the car was droped off to get a full acid dipping(body only)and i am crossing my fingers that thier will be little to no hidden rust.cost of the dipping $1200 and some change but it is well worth it.

sorry no pics camera brokes.

hes probably doing it for the lack of room up front

the vh is a big motor

plus if the rad is too close to the engine its not going to disperse heat as well.

plus it looks gansta

to the OP clean work so far; but i thought you were putting this on hold till spring?

whatever you do you better not rust your hood

well it is on hold till spring but i had an appointment that i waited 12 weeks for to get the car dipped. i sent the car out and i will be getting it back next monday, then she will be shot with a single coat of primer then put back storage till spring.

the hood will not be rusted!!lol thats just something i did to my ef.

and it is a no-go for the vh and the rear rad setup.vh's are hard to find in south jersey for a good price or in good condition, and the rear rad was just a little brainstorm that i got tired of in a week.( i will be going with a v-mount setup)sorry guys! but i will not dissapoint with the rest of the build.

still wondering what powerplant to put in the car,can you guys help me out?(no v8's plz)lol

thought something was different there i noticed that the j30 sub frame was very similar to a s13 sub frame when i was dropping a vlsd from pick a part Sunday. so since that j30 was a 96 the sub frames form a j30 and s14 must be identical. COOL
