Brand new Mazda RX8.

I gotta go with daunt and zebra on this one. The Rx-8 just looks terrible, and the turbo neon is twice as bad. The only new car I would buy right now is the 350z or a WRX. The only upside I saw to the new Rx-8 was the new intake and exhaust port design, which solved many of the problems with the old motors like (flooding, nasty exhaust).

too bad the 206 looks like a civic/focus hybrid... peugot owns wrc cause they have great drivers too, though the car is darn good at what it does i wouldnt want one... I'll take an Evolution V thank you very much.

ah yes. when it come right down to it, no matter how close the car is own paper, what it all comes down to are the drivers. to each is own.

I guess I'm the minority, I think that the RX-8 looks pretty decent for what they're trying to do with it, 4dr family sports car it's the only car in it's market really. Yes, the Evo and WRX are sporty cars, but they lack a little of the "schwing" factor, the curves the RX-8 sports take care of that although I am somewhat disappointed in that it looks kinda like a prowler without the exposed springs and suspension bits. The RX-7 would be:Stiffer chassis, 2dr cpeLighter, no back seat etc...More nimble suspensionProbably higher tune of WankelI would be in line for one if I had the $$ and didn't get raped by insurance nazis just because I'm young. (SIGH)In that regard it reminds me(the RX-8, as the 7 will undoubtedly be a progression of the FD3S to a mind-blowing new level) of the S14, b/c from some angles it looks really sexy, and from others pretty awkward, but once you drive one, you just get it and you don't really question the styling any more. Much like Ducati has done with the new 999(progression from the 916 platform for those of you who know motorcycling)

Wow. I thought I was the only one that thought that way. They are very impressive cars on the track, and in most performance catagories, but the car lacks anything in the slightest bit of style when it comes to the body. JUST LOOK AT THE REAR END! It makes me want to PUKE!
