not sure on better, but you should be able to find some for a good deal on ebay. I bought the set of z32 cant remember if they are 26 or 28mm, but the lightweight aluminum ones and am happy with them. You should check out steel braided lines and auto bleeders since you will be working in that area anyways

I would say get the Q45 brakes, they are really easy to install and are plug and play. With the Z32 you will have to get the Z32 brake cylinder. Q45 FTMFW BTW: They are way cheaper than the Z32 Brakes.

i haven't installed the rear ones yet because they require e-brake alteration and until i get the hydraulic e-brake i wont use them. I found a good set on ebay for 50 bucks so thats pretty cheap, and if you look you'll be able to find steel braided lines that make them plug and play, minus the ebrake issue of coursehttp://www.240sxmotoring.com/24z32brcoli.html, but if you search for that as well there are ways to make em work. good luckhttp://www.ultrarev.com/Univer....htmlThis is the kinda setup i wanna go with, i also wanna get the auto transmission brake booster and a larger master cylinder, should be more that enough stopping action

What are you using the car for? If you plan on tracking it at all I would recommend the 30mm Z32 calipers since there are many more choices of brake pads than the 26mm Z32 or the Q45 calipers.

I would go with the Q45s if you are only doing the fronts.

Not only are they more cost effective, but they will stay closer to the original brake bias. They will also allow a greater choice of wheels.

I use the car for auto x and drift and mountain driving, I would be either getting the 30mm z32 setup and changing the master cyl too or just the q45. If you have the Z32 brakes in the rear can you use a hydraulic Ebrake and have it lock the regular pads up like the stock rear on the 240 does or does it still lock up the little pads in that small drum thing? I hate the drum e brakes thats why i wouldnt do the rears too.

J30 brakes work also, bit smaller but almost the same as Q45. Q45/J30 will fit stock wheels as the Z32 will not.with the Z32 brakes its best to upgrade the whole system as your bias will be off with a stock BMC.

i grabbed my J30 rotors/calipers from a junkyard, $50+$10 rebuild kits and a day later... they look better than new. there is a write up in the "tech" section above...

i feel you on the neverending 90 s13 project warped. How did you decide to do your build. Turbo or N/A. lemme know if you hear of where i can convert my lifters from hydraulic to solid or by some divine miracle hear of a fully counterweighted crank.

Q45's are much more cost effective while offering almost the same performance as the z32's. Not to mention the wheel clearance issue with the z32's.

Interesting and which Noah are you guys referring too? lol anyways back to topic, the only reason i wouldnt do the z32 rears is because i hate the ebrake they use, If using a hydraulic ebrake utilizes the pads to lock the rear instead of the internal drum i would definitely do the rears as well.

yeah it does, i posted a site you can check out in an earlier post. There are more than just that company making them, but they hook into the master cylinder and then run to the some kind of link with the rear brakes and are essentially the equivalent of using the foot pedal to power the rear brakes.
