You should be able to find that info in the FSM, which I'm pretty sure Wes has committed to memory. He should be able to tell you where it runs to (from the rotor/caliper). This may be a mod most never considered. If you were to pull both the front and rear sensor wires, you could reduce your weight by 8 to 10 ounces. Lighter weight car will go faster :D.

Exactly. I was on the phone thumbing through the books with Wes, and he found some connector box in the dash near the glovebox where it apparently begins.

And unless I win the lottery, decide to retire early and have absolutely nothing to do, I'll choose against going in there. :)

Jesda, what is on the other end of that wire? If it's the pad sensor then I would say yes, it goes to "nowhere". If it's a connector, then you don't really have a problem. One of those 2 "black hoses" in the background of the pic is the wire that carries the pad sensor current. It isn't missing! The sensor connects to the "back" of the caliper. You can see it just fine if you stick your head under the oil drain plug, and I'm guessing if you did you would be looking at the connector end of the wire that you're holding there.

I tried cutting and twisting those together just now, but nothing changed. So apparently that dangling piece of wire just goes to the connector on the caliper attched to the pad sensor and nothing else. When I get proper jack stands I'll look further inside by the oil drain plug.

THANKS!!!!!

Make sure both front and rear sensors are closed circuits.

If it's the rear sensor, that's gonna be freakin' hilarious.

That's got BlondeStar written ALL over it :D.

So... I checked the rears. Twisted the wire together. The pad wear indicator went away. Thank you. :)
