Hey All,

I have a slight problem with brake balance, under hard braking, my left front tire always locks up first, as a matter of fact, i think it locks up so much before my right tire that i have never pushed my pedal far enough to lock both up. (except rain maybe)

I have 350z front brakes (non-brembo) and stock rears (s14 240sx) with a 300zx BMC. I'm wondering if there is some proportioning valve i can get to lower the pressure going to the front left brake or if there is another route i should take out of this?

cheers for input! Marko

check your pistons o the LF first then go from there....

If you've replaed everything otherwise that seems like the only issue....

But it also seems like you';br done a intersting band-aide big brake kit...which in and oif itself might yeild problems..

when exactly is it locking up?

It sounds like you have air trapped in the line/caliper on the right side. Your brake bias is off with the fronts, and stock rear, you will always lock the front before the rears. When the air on the right compresses, the left is the only brake to lock up.

Re bleed your brakes, and check your brake hoses for cracking.

i have ss lines, and i have actually rebled them a few times. I doubt that is the problem. And i realize that my brake balance is off with front/rear. Eventually I want to move the z32 rears, but so far this setup has worked ok at the track.

Isn't there some little fitting i can put inline where i can lower the pressure in one of the brake lines? hehe.

i guess i will be doing another rebleed and testing them.

A restrictor would only allow you to change flow, and reaction, not pressure.

If you cant fix the problem with bleeding, it is likely that your right side caliper is not working properly, or siezed. If you have ABS, it is also possible that you have air trapped in actuator.
