put it on the dyno today just make shore every thing was ok and things look promising :D

it was only getting reved to 4800-5000rpm and only 10 psi with the old tune. its running way rich so i have to take some fuel out of it so it dosent glaze the bores

holy s*** its been a long time since i posted in the thread. well motor got roasted 5 months ago from a dodgy oil filter seal
had a oil filter seal blow out while i was fare up it and droped all the oil and roasted the motor
but i was going to be up for a new motor any was as the engine builder that built it under bored it 2 thou so the pistons were grabing the bores. any way here is some carnage pics :D

its spun 1,2 and 4 big ends
Image
Image

cause i did 400m up the road at 20psi and 8000rpm is spun the oil pump on the crank and shattered it

and this is the mark on the bore. the motor only has/had 10k km on it

have also sold me turbo and going 3071r 60mm rear wheel and v band rear
lots of porting work and 265 cams so hopefully it should make some good power when i get it back. now i just have to find a gearbox 2 keep up to it lol

its been a while since i have updates this thread.
so after the motor shaged it self i have started the 2nd rebuild
i wanted a simple port job done on the head. but decussions with my engine builder over a few beers things kinda got out of controle lol. we have now made the 8 port head a 4 port head. he stoped counting after 25 hours work on the head :yikes: but its al worth it after we got the flow sheet back. 61% improvement on the exhaust side alone. that brings up up to 80% across the hole head and that is spot on for wat you want
head now flows 155cfm @ 10" of water.(stock was like 107 cfm i think) and all the way to .620" lift so its going to make big power. i dont know the calc for the head in a boosted set up but its up there
got tomei 260/8.8mm cams going into it. new rods and actually build this thing good this time. will post up flow sheet when i get my hand on it

here are some pics. havnt got the finished pics of the intake yet
untill next time keep :rockin:

Wow, that is some impressive porting work! What are the plans for the rest of the motor? Are you using a new block and everything?

I have a request, could you post a picture of your old sectioned head so I can see it from the cut end? While you're at it, how about some better close-ups of the new (ported) head, it looks amazing!

and for some of you that are going to ask where the guides are for the valves, there still there ;)

we are glad that we choped up the junk head as there could of been some serious issues lol
