A friend of mine has a Blitz BOV and another friend has an GReddy Type S, and yes, their cas will backfire and yes, they will stall occasionally.

So can we put the MAF before the BOV? Does a MAF work under high pressure and still able to measure the air? This should cure the "cough cough choke stall" problem eh?

i have a noob question real fast, if you recirculate the air instead of letting it off will it still stall? (dont think so but wanted to be sure) also is it worth getting a blitz or upgraded bov if im just going to recirculate the air?

you mean after the turbo but before the bov?i think the same problems would still arise in that case. if ya mean make the mafs the last thing before the throttle body, i think that would work well. might be kinda errartic still when the tb closes though?

isnt the sensor always under pressure anyway?, just vacuum pressure instead? that may be completely wrong knowing me;)

Yeah that's what I meant -- to put it close to the throttle body. That way it would know how much air went in or what not. Then when the throttle plate closes, the BOV would just bleed the air off and it would sense that too. I dunno, I guess I should just get a MAP sensor and calibrate it. No more woes...

Ok I just want to clear this up, because my hubby wants to buy a BOV when we install our SR (which will be temporaily running SR side mount intercooler). The question is this...It is advisable that if I am running stock everything, and stock intercooler to NOT buy an aftermarket BOV untill I buy my FMIC right?

Thnx guys.

If you are getting a front clip just use the stock BOV until you get a FMIC.

I am getting a "stripped clip" s13 redtop motor set from Dauntt. Hey Dauntt if you're around... do stock BOV's come with the s13 redtop motor sets??

Thank you.

its a recirculating valve, not a bov, and yes, afaik it comes with his motor sets if requested (but you'd have to ask him to be 100% positive...

if running a completely stock setup, there is no logical reason to upgrade the bov ( i know, i know, F&F makes everyone want a bov, but its not necessary) : )
