28,000 miles supercharged @ 19,000 miles with vortech sc kit... It seems to be only pushing 5psi.. Inifinity warrantied everything for 4 years for me... I am curious on how these things hold up over the years with the superchargers... Max psi or max hp on stock internals? I was thinking of using full synthetic redline 5w30 and redline transmission fluid as well? I've heard of these motors detonating but also heard of them being able to take a beating.. I had an rb20det for 7 years and redlined it everyday @ 10psi never had any issues... but then again it was factory turbo and a cast iron block... Any ideas on how to prolong the life and proper mods to safely run this supercharger... so far it feels fast as **** ... I just wanna be safe with my new baby...

welcome aboard! very nice new car. love it.

regarding your "max psi, max hp" - its take it easy for the first few months to learn the new car, its characteristics, how it handles, etc. you dont wanna push it yet, without learning most importantly = HOW FAST SHE SLOWS DOWN.
i wouldnt run her at full psi/max power until i learn if she eats a little oil (that engine was known for it) and then i would gradually increase power to a "happy" level. I'd never put it to max power, simply because its just not safe in theory.

See thats what I was wondering.. Known for eating oil hmmm that;s not reassuring lol.. Do you happen to know what usually go's out on it? piston rings? bad seals?

i had a 2002 nissan maxima, and it ate oil. i forgot the exact engine model (DE or HR) thats known for it, but my 02 max had it lol. if i remember correctly, it was crappy rings used in that engine. and i believe the problem was rectified - but i still would keep an eye on your car.

also, keep an eye on your oil pan. they are know to rust out on the mounting points, and leak. i had to replace mine, and found a $75 OEM pan on ebay.

not all the coupes with the HR 3.5 motor ate oil just some, there was a common thing of finding oil in one of the spart plug ports. if its under warranty id check for the spark plug oil issue, and get that fixed under warranty. other than that... my two Gs seem bullet proof with my abuse, but caring maintence lol.

good advice, and i agree- nissans in general are bullet proof. i had a 99 altima that i abused to absolute no end. didnt change the oil nor add any for 33,000miles LMFAO (i knew it was going to the garbage that year, so i didnt care). guess what... still worked fine LOLOL
