Hey guys,

I want to do a boost leak test on my S14 SR20DET this weekend, and I've read a little bit about it, but I'm seeing a few diagrams and pictures of guys hooking the tester basically right into the turbo (the intake outlet). Because my SR has a bottom mount like many of yours, I'm wondering what the easiest and most effective way to boost leak test an SR is? (And by that, just tell me what part of the intake piping to test at)

Thanks, Cheers.

Just hook it up to the turbo's intake, set the compressor to 10 psi and listen. DONE

I just stuck a pipe cap on my turbo inlet and pumped air in using the wasegate line.

this test is fine if the leak is before the throttle. if the throttle is closed it wont let air past but if you open it there will always be a pair of intake valves open
