boost issue halp

every now and then while Im driving the car goes into what i bellive is limp mode where i can go up to full boost 20psi and the car is absolutey gutless it won't get up and go and for the life of me i cannot figure out what is causing the problem. Any words od wisdom?

Pull the codes out of the ECU.

I have experienced that sort of issue when I was having problems with a knock sensor going bad. It would pull all my timing which would neuter the car, even though I was making boost.

I done bellive it has a port to plug into or do ypu pull the computer. Other words how do i ho about getting the codes lol

If it is an S13 SR, there is a small knob on the ECU, you turn it with a crewdriver, and it will then flash a code at you via a LED on the side of the unit. You can google the exact procedure.
