Check your timing, and check for boost leaks.

yeah about that...i did check for boost leaks and nothing...now...about the timing...i have the tps on .45 and the timing when the tps is connected is on the second tick mark from left to right....now when i plug the tps back on...of course after shutting off the car...i know that when checking the timing is supposed to be the send tick mark from right to left...but its not...its stilll on the second tick mark from left to right....oddly enough...but another concern of mine is when i checked the spark plugs...all four were a copper like color..instead of a white color...and these spark plug have been on for about 200 miles only....what gives...

Make sure your timing is on the second mark from the right with the tps disconnected and idling around 850rpm.

Did you check for codes?

Do you have any ECU codes? Sounds like you may be running in limp mode.

Tan, or copper colored spark plugs are normal.

I would recheck your spark timing, sometimes the ECUs dont go into timing mode.

IIRC S14SRs are not OBD 2. You will need to use the diagnostic screw on the side of the ECU. Most swaps will not activate the CEL.

Turn the key to the on position, with the engine off.

Turn the screw all the way from its current point till it stops, dont force it. There should be an LED near the screw, if it does not begin to blink turn the screw back to its original position it should begin to blink.

If there is no LED, or you cannot get it to blink, you will have to wire up the consult port, allowing you to access the ECU using a scanner.

Count the blinks, long pause = 10, and short pause = 1.

The screw is a two position switch. Its either all the way clockwise, or counter clockwise. Whichever way it is, put it back there when its finished, once you start the engine, the ECU will return to normal mode.

You are counting the blinks to create a code, this code will tell you what problems the ECU has recognized.

If you get code 55, you have no issues, any other code means you have an issue.

If you cannot obtain codes, you will need to wire the factory OBD 2 consult port into the SR ECU. You said you tried to read the ECU once, it did not work because the port you plugged into, is not wired to the ECU.

Its not part of the normal FSM, its a sub file I do not have. Read my above post.

thats right...the obd2 wouldnt read the ecu...so in case the leds dont work then what?? because i cant connect the obd2...sorry to sound repetitive

You will need to re wire the consult port, you can find some basic instructions here. zerothread/268436

As far as wiring the consult, that should get you started, as far as talking to the ECU, you wont be able to use advanced functions, but you should at least be able to access generic OBD 2 functionality.

The whole OBD 2 thing is one reason I personally chose not to get an S14 SR, its just so much extra hassle.

FlatBlackIan quick question...when i turn the ecu to do its diagnostic is it possible that instead of having the led would it show the code through the check engine light itself...because i got a code from it...it blinked 3 times kinda slow then 7 times a little quicker...and i looked up the code what it could be and it side "closed loop system"...what the hell does that mean ??

Yes, if your CEL is hooked up it will blink the code. Im not sure what Closed loop control mean, but Id place a guess that it has something to do with the ECUs fuel control, and map switching sub routines. You may have a short in you o2 sensor circuit. Try searching the forums, also check the FSMs troubleshooting sections.

I saw your other thread also,

you could try soldering the LED back on,

it could work.

He doesnt need to, it is blinking the CEL, which does the same thing.
