Hey ya'llOn my way home from work today I got trapped behind an old pickup. looking in my rearview mirror I see a new BMW 328i silver with the sport package zoom by me in the fast lane. Now you know I can't let that happen don't you? Into manual mode kick it to 3 and boom I'm at 70mph behind the bimmer. Well almost. Some how a Pontiac Bonniville manages to get behind the bimmer in my persuit. Two lanes become 3 one car moves over to the slow lane openning up the middle. Gun it baby! The guy in the bmw knows whats up he guns it to. Too bad you got the wrong model. He can't take the lead. He gets behind me and realizes oh is a G35 not the Altima and backs off.

Can't touch this!Kev....

G35 - Motor Trend, Car and Driver, and Road and Track top picks for a damn good reason! The 3-series is an excellent benchmark, but the G sets a new standard.

Hello J30t,When the infiniti turbos the g35 I confident this will happen to m3 drivers too. As for the m5, it’s not in the 6 league. Let’s not compare a $30k v6 with a $70K v8. They are great cars just can’t have one at this time. :peace Kev...

i dunno how much HP the G will have after turbo but the M3 at 340 (i think) with the Sequential Manual Gearbox is badass...especially off the line if you get the euro software installed allowing you to launch off the line at 5000rpm.

Anyway, you would certainly expect to beat a car with around the same HP as the J. If it was auto then it is pretty much like saying you saw a J fly by and then by the time you press the gas you would be by it. Id have second thoughts too if i saw a G35.

the m3 has 333hp straight 6, but whats all this about turbo'd G35, the m3 doesnt have a turbo, and yes i agree about not comparing the G35 with the m5, its just too much of a difference

Well you can think of it this way with the G35. If you bought a G35 for 30,000 and put 40,000 into it, the G35 would be WAY faster than the m5 could ever be.

lol...people buying M5s arent really worried about kicking any *** in races, therefore they arent really going to modify their cars. They just say hey, im rich biatch and drive off in the 75k car.

Cant wait till the M6 is out in 05. V10, 505hp...BMWs most powerful car to date, also a lot of money.

Could you even spend 40,000 upgrading the G35?

Yeah i'm sure it is possible with turbo upgrades and such. Especially when the AWD turbo version comes the the US. People spend much, much more than that on Nissan Skylines. I have read of many skylines that have approached 2000 HORSEPOWER! Breaking the 1000 horsepower barrier with the skyline's inline six and twin turbo set-up is not all uncommon in Japan.

Probably just to say that you have a car that has 2000 hp! haha. I am sure it is very fun to drive and it is probably only a hobby for anyone that does that. I have to admit though...realizing that you are in control of something that small, with that much power, is VERY scary!

id rather drive a car with like 500hp that is able to go left or right if so desired rather than straight with everything becoming very blurry.

Actually most of the skylines that have over 1000 hp that i have read about are used for road races! They are just crazy like that in japan. They go alllll out on Supra's, STI's, Evo's and Skylines.

yea but the cars arent cool with one seat and all sorts of japified stuff all over the car. Im sure enough type r stickers on my J will get me up to the 1000 hp mark.

i dont know if i understand BMW's perspective on this, maybe the new M5 'im reading about is really going to be called the M6??, cause to me it deosnt make sense for BMW to make an m5 and m6 each with a 5oohp v1o and price them 2ok apart

As of 2003 model year, odd numbers are 4-door sedans, even numbers are two door roadsters and coupes.

When you are talking about the skyline you aren't talking about the 2003/04 skyline are you? I can't imagine having an 03 skyline with over 1000 hp, and 2000 hp is just freaking ridiculous.
