the m3 has 333hp straight 6, but whats all this about turbo'd G35, the m3 doesnt have a turbo, and yes i agree about not comparing the G35 with the m5, its just too much of a differencej30t wrote:i dunno how much HP the G will have after turbo but the M3 at 340 (i think) with the Sequential Manual Gearbox is badass...especially off the line if you get the euro software installed allowing you to launch off the line at 5000rpm.
Anyway, you would certainly expect to beat a car with around the same HP as the J. If it was auto then it is pretty much like saying you saw a J fly by and then by the time you press the gas you would be by it. Id have second thoughts too if i saw a G35.
actually i thought the 6 series was coming back but not with an M emblem, the new m5 will have a 5oohp v1o, but i dont think there wil be an m6, i also heard talks aobut a 1 seriesj30t wrote:lol...people buying M5s arent really worried about kicking any *** in races, therefore they arent really going to modify their cars. They just say hey, im rich biatch and drive off in the 75k car.
Cant wait till the M6 is out in 05. V10, 505hp...BMWs most powerful car to date, also a lot of money.
Could you even spend 40,000 upgrading the G35?
i dont know if i understand BMW's perspective on this, maybe the new M5 'im reading about is really going to be called the M6??, cause to me it deosnt make sense for BMW to make an m5 and m6 each with a 5oohp v1o and price them 2ok apartj30t wrote:nlzmo, i read on some of the bmw forums that the M6 is due out in 2005 with a price range of over 100grand.
