I think you'll find answers to your question in the following thread. In fact I am getting my car serviced today for this exact issue.

A lot of the bluetooth issues with this car has to do with the phones. Have you tried another phone to see if its the same?? Wife's Motorola Pebl sounded waaay worse & had more problems than her Sidekick does.

Have you played with the volume settings under phone settings?

There is a known problem with the bluetooth. I took mine in November and they said they would fix it... unfortunately the part is on backorder still (apparently indefinately)

I had my 07 M45 in yesterday for "echo" and road noise at highway speeds and they said that 06-08's are affected and there is a TSB for relocation of voice speaker closer to the sunroof power button and a new Bluetooth control module. They had to order the parts. I have a BB 8330 Curve.

speak of the devil. I get a call yesterday from Infiniti dealer and she says we are going to have to send your parts back Saturday if you can't bring your car in tomorrow to get the fix. I say "Ummmm... nobody called me to tell me the parts are in." she replies "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... nobody called you. "me "nope, in fact I emailed your service department about 3 weeks ago and asked if they were in, and he replied sorry... no"her, "uhhhhhhh can you hang on a minute"me"sure"4 minutes laterher "we can get an extension on returning those parts"me "thats great, actually I can come in tomorrow and leave my car"

The end of the story is that they installed the microphone in the cieling area and it works like a champ now. I had to reinstall my phone numbers (manually since my phone doesn't export apparently), and reset some settings, but Bluetooth issue is SOLVED!!!

I did. My Bluetooth control module will not let me access this self - diagnostics cause it's malfunctioning.

Sam Swope Infiniti in Louisville. They said they had done "a few". don't have a scanner but this is what the details say.The service consultant was Kevin Horvay1) CUSTOMER STATES BLUETOOTH SOUNDS GARBLED -- sopbluetooth ITB 07-036performed repairs per ITB. called S.B. from car. sound OK.

misc. repair -BJ6

PartsMICROPHONE UNIT - TELE - 28336 - EJ20E QTY 1COVER-MELT END-73972-EJ20E QTY 1

That is literally all of the info pertaining to the repair. Hope this helps a little. When I took my car in I took a copy of the service bulletin that I printed off of here somewhere. I think the bandwidth of that picture had been surpassed last time I looked at it a few months ago. Search for Bluetooth question, or bluetooth problem M35 and hopefully you can find the repair bulletin number to give them an idea.

Good luck

when i took my car in for an oil change, i asked the tech about the TSB for the bluetooth and he replied with......."if someone complains about it, they'll make a TSB for anything"

Jerkweed

I am going to take a copy of the above to him, and make them fix something.

they will order a seed stock replacement for your nav unit(you will have to reset all your service reminders, phone numbers, address/phonebooks) and like JimmyZ said, mic will be relocated in between sunroof opening and the edge of the visor. Works a whole lot better, though I found I got better audio to the other end by turning down the "outgoing volume" before the unit was replaced.

Gotta just LOVE dealers!!! I finally get the new Bluetooth unit in and the car was there for two days. As I'm rushing away for a meeting, I look up and realize they did NOT do the mic relocation at all. WTF??!!!

MICROPHONE UNIT - TELE - 28336 - EJ20E QTY 1COVER-MELT END-73972-EJ20E QTY 1

Called and the service manager has not returned my call. I will be b****ing heavily today!

Does anyone know of a picture somewhere I can get to show them what its suppose to look like?

Jim
