THat still doesn't answer the question my firend.. I think Brian was being a smart guy with his post, but my email I sent to you was stricly out of curiousity.. should we assume that things aren't going well since you haven't gotten your car back?

Oh yeah, the white eyelids look AWFUL!! They don't match the car color, they don't line up with the lines of the vehicle, and the one on the passenger side was placed too far over and is on the curve of the light.

No offense to you, but that is by far the absolute WORSE eyelid install job I have ever seen!

I actually like yours Brian, the fiber glass looks much cleaner and the paint is a perfect color match (then again, its hard to f*ck up black)

This discussion is an example of a negative of splitting the forum - Brians thread on the fiberglass lid are on the Interior/Exterior Section.

See the Dr. hasn't mastered the technique of breaking the bad news to the patient softly. The patient asks " Doc how am I doing" Dr. RJMM replies - your test results are horrible, you gonna die, good luck.

Seriously though - the critique is on point.

Brian - also RJDMM is saying the same thing I tried to say on your thread about Black being a difficult color to demonstrate the difference between the fiberglass and vinyl. The "right" vinyl properly installed ona black car - will look the same as fiberglass to most people. This is not to take anyting away from your install.

To all yall considering cosmetic surgery - you know the "eye lid" work -

There will surely be several different options on the market I imagine for eyelids whether they be fiberglass or vinyl. Not all will be the same. Make sure you are familiar with how the lid will

cover the light, and blend in with the hood (to from the illusion that the hood extends further at the corners). These are the two styling elements that may differ from brand to brand. The main difference between the fiberglass and the vinyl is the thickness and the ability to color match (I forgot to mention light transmission - but that depends on the "cut" or shape of the lid).

Good Luck.

suggestions: Get double layer so light wont pass through vinyl. Place the overlay so the edges go over the corners by 1/8 or so inches so you get coverage over the edge .
