1990 240 s14sr20det , new head gasket less than a month ago, had an exhaust leak at the turbo inlet gasket so I replaced the stock manifold with an Isis manifold and new manifold and turbo inlet gasket, on the test ride I had amazing power gains but in 5 mins I noticed white smoke out the exhaust smelled like coolant. Thinking it may be seals in turbo? is this a possibility or did i blow out a new cometic head gasket? thanks for ur advise in advance.

Not really sure if this will work well on turbo cars but just do a coolant pressure test. Buy or borrow a coolant pressure tester at Auto zone...and if it does'nt hold pressure it will leak...

99% its the headgasket.

The water cooled garret turbos dont have seals for the coolant, it just circulates through the center section to pull some heat out.

Its either the headgasket, or possibly a cracked head. Did you pressure check the head while it was off, or even have it machined?

If the car has ever been overheated, you my have a warped or cracked heads.
