sorry, the title of my last post ("aiv, egr? emissions removel, setup") was not what I meant, now after researching about 4 stroke engines in general and realizing what I am trying to ask about..............

.... what I mean is the blowby of the engine. I researched this on wiki and it seems there is supposed to be a pcv valve? would it be ok for me to just have an oil catch can between the two: crankcase, valvecover ventalation tubes and intake? or do I NEED to have a PCV valve too???? I guess my engine not only laced the emissions pieces, but also the pcv valve.

why hasn't this subject been discussed in depth before? sounds like a pretty important aspect of the engine. after researching, it seems this is very important to engine health!

opinions?

I'm wrong, the pcv valve goes on the other side of the valve cover and lets fresh air in. so what i need to know is if there needs to be suction to the crank case and valve cover ventilation areas on the other side.
