I just baught and installed the Blitz Nur-R Cat Back Exhaust, Just wanted to say by far the best Exhaust I have ever seen, The way that it is made, beautiful, The sound is amazing doesnt sound like crap like most exhausts do, I do tell from experience, I have owned Greddy, Stillen, My friend has Apexi, and HKS, Nothing comes close to Blitz the way it looks or sound wise. Its little expensive but well worth it. Dont have HP ideas, I dont have the dyno, But im going to English Town this weekend, My time was 16.2, will see what ill run with the exhaust.

My nur spec is on back order so i haven't seen it yet but i do have the blitz downpipe and if the exhaust looks as nice as that does then i'll be a damned happy man.

that is the exhaust I bought, but I have not received it yet. The Nur-R is the one that connects straight to the Downpipe right (as it is deletes the cat)

Does it connect straight to the downpipe?? I had no idea that it did and it would be quite nice if it did but i always thought it just connected to the cat.

Yea I was waiting for month and a half for this thing, very hard to get right away. Oh trust me guys once you see this, you will no longer consider any other exhausts an exhaust. ;)

Yeah, pretty much every exhaust system everyone on this board owns is a cat back (N1, Gt-spec, Nur-spec, Hiper etc.). A 3" cat or testpipe and blitz or Greddy downpipe shouldn't set you back more than $250 though......

I have the Blitz Nur-Spec it is killer. It also sounds bad ***. But as far as the Nur-Spec R. I have heard of a R model, but have never seen it for sale. The Nur-Spec goes form the cat back. Actually I have seen the Nur-Spec R for sale it was 100mm and meant for a Skyline. They may make them for 240s but I have only seen them for skylines. The downpipe-back would be cool.

I was originally planning to get one of those too, but there was a deal on ebay for an Apexi Gt-spec that was just too good to pass up. I just got in the mail yesterday, it is absolutely gorgeous, the welds, the muffler, the fully polished stainless steel construction. But the piping is ridiculously large for my setup right now, that ****'s gonna be waaaay too loud. Not installing it until I get a 3" test pipe.

well here is what I have coming so far...

Blitz 3" downpipeBlitz Nur Spec R exhaust (the R is apparently the catback and not DP back according to the research I just did)

looks like I will have to blow this through a stock cat for now... :-(

I need a 3" test pipe now...

http://www.heavythrottle.com , $80 for a silver coated 3", or $100 for a stainless steel 3" test pipe, all hardware and gaskets included, good quality stuff. If you wanna stay legal, they also sell a 3" catco cat for like $140....

I made a 2.5 inch replacement cat for my friends civic when we turbo'd it. The downpipe flange didnt line up with the cat, so we said F it and went to the muffler shop, bought 2.5 inch pipe, and a 3 bolt 2.5 inch flange from the collector on a chevy header and a 2.5 inch 2 bolt flange. then got them marked for the right angle and welded them. I actually cut the sensor nipple out of the cat with an angle grinder and welded it in too but wouldnt have been necessary :)oh yeah, price was about 30 bucks, and we have 9 foot of pipe leftover to do it again :)

why does every one want a test pipe? are you all running leaded fuel? not only is it emmissions illeagal but it provides no back preassure. just get a hipo cat a little more money but provides everything you need. just wondering.:alcoholic

IMO no backpressure and no turbulence is optimal

The test pipe is good when you are running a turbo setup. You have less resistance, which equates to a faster spool up of the turbo. However, no backpressure in an N/A setup is bad. You loose a lot of low end torque, but you get it back in the top end. Think about it, when are you going to take full advatage of youre top end...

Then dont try to put me on the spot when I make a valid post trying to show people theres an easy alternative to paying 100-200 bucks for a piece of pipe with 2 flanges on it

And about test pipe being bad, I dont think I could leave a cat on after looking at the internals of one. Just seems stupid putting headers and a nice catback on and then leaving in this giant honeycomb block with cumulative flow of no more than 3/4"

Well the box that my Blitz came in said Nur-Spec there was no mention of an R but I have the 80mm exhaust. I don't know how big the tip is and I don't really care. But I haven't heard of a 81 mm Blitz exhaust, but cool then. Maybe I am a Nur Spec R or not but it doesn't matter.

Second I run a test pipe because I am Turbo and I want to optimize my setup. I wouldn't run a TP if I was NA. The HT Test pipe isn't special but It gets the job done and I would recommend it.

Third about the leaded fuel comment. I shoot some small flames every once in a while when I am driving hard according to my friends so who needs leaded fuel.:flamer
