as long as the flanges lined up that would be a great deal, its almost as cheap as just buying the parts and doing it yourself without the hassle

so basically it made you drop a tenth, that's nice. I have to put mine on as soon as I get it because my crappy stock exhaust rusted through this weekend and I have it held togetther with some thin tin sheeting, a "do not trespass" sign and some hose clamps.

it sounds worse than ANY honda I have EVER heard :(

Ok guys, dont be so lazy and go to the Blitz-na site. According to them, the catback is known as Nur Spec R, and the axle-back is known as the Nur Spec. So based on the manufacturers site, all you guys with the catback have the same exhaust with 80mm piping. If it didn't say it on the box who cares, you just found out that you got a Nur Spec R!

Backpressure is never a good thing. Even on an NA car. Silly hotrodding myth.

Decreased exhaust velocity is a bad thing. You want your exhaust to exit the car as fast as possible for optimal performance. If you get to big of an exhaust on a NA car, then the exhaust pressure (pressure increases inversely to area) is to low to create a sufficeint velocity. If it is too small, then you have too much backpressure (exhaust is too small and restricted exhaust flow). Therefore backpressure is always bad. You want the exhaust to flow as fast as possible, with the least amount of backpressure, regardless if it is turbo or NA.

Its little expensive but well worth it. Dont have HP ideas, I dont have the dyno, But im going to English Town this weekend, My time was 16.2, will see what ill run with the exhaust.

Good to hear you like it, we just ordered a bunch of those, and they should be here any day (hopefully tommorrow). :)

ok so the backpreassure thing isnt legit. but still if you run on the street and have emmissions then i think a hiflow cat is better. perhaps because im lazy and wouldnt want to change it out every time i got it checked or something. but is there anything that shows hi flow cat would really hinder a car that much? just seems like a lot of work for something like that.

On a NA car, you are not going to notice any difference at all between a high flow cat and a test pipe. Probably not even any with a stock cat. Maybe on some cars, however, Nissan's notorious for having decent high flowing cats from the factory. Turbo'd cars are a different story.

You *might* see a HP or 2 gain from going from OEM cat to a test pipe. High flow cat would be inbetween there somewhere. Not worth the illegality IMO.

EZCheese, isnt one of the benefits of higher exhaust gas speed because it helps scavenge the exhaust from the combustion chamber and hence allows more fresh a/f in resulting in more power? At least this is my understanding with NA cars...hows it work for turbo applications?

I was trying to get the Blitz Nur-R Exhaust but the wait waswas like 8 weeks. And so I went with the HKS. I was was notdisapointed, the build quality is first rate. And I used a3in Cat, becouse it helped with the low end power.

Same applies to turbo cars. The only thing is, on a turbo car, since you are forcing the air out of the car at a much quicker rate, the point when you need a smaller diameter exhaust is much higher. To the point you basically won't ever have that problem. Unless you are trying to run like a 12" mandrel bent exhaust with a T3 :) LOL

If your going to swap to a SR or put on a turbo then the exhaust will work for you. But if your going to stay NA then get a 60 mm exhaust. There are a lot out there. Yes it will be very loud.

this exhaust is hella flunking loud!!! That and I lost a buttload of power down low. I definitely do not recommend this for an NA car, but it should be Uber pimp for a turbo car...

The swap has hit a bit of a wall so to speak. I have 30 pages worth of papers due by this coming thursday, so I have less than zero time to work on the car. Next week I am free though, so I am gonna pull the motor out of my car, do the wiring andd start the swap. I have to have it finished by May 18 cuz I have a thing to go to down in Houston.

if you want pics of the stuff, check the link dealie in my sig...

I Dont know about loosing power, the exhaust gave me .2 - .3 quicker ET, and my trap speed went up by 2mph.

Well I am talking about low end power, my high end is GREAT, the car pulls all the way until the fuel cut. I would say my entire powerband shifted 1200rpm towards redline. Where I used to have power at 3000 I now get it (and probably more) a little over 4000.
