The slime and vitriol that were used as campaign tactics are now affecting Governor Palin. Top McCain campaign advisers called Sarah Palin a "Wasilla redneck" and claimed they saw her prancing about in a towel, among other accusations, none of them true.

Not surprising, since these clowns have to deal with the embarrassment of running a failed campaign and need someone to blame. They make careers out of running Republican campaigns, and a massive defeat like Obama's electoral landslide hinders their ability to find new clients.

Quite a change of tone from when they brought her out and told us she was the answer to everything. John McCain's campaign staff are backstabbing scum.

I saw the report today and thought, "Scorched Earth." With so much talk of "what will Palin do" in the news media and around the country, I am sure this is an attempt by bitter McCain aides to keep her from appearing to be a desirable candidate.

I can only hope what we're hearing is the last gasp of the RINO. Good riddance. As one caller to a talk radio show said today "I hope the next time McCain strolls across the asile, he finds a nice comfortable seat over there and never comes back." I voted for him - apparently I'm unlike most Americans... able to pick the lesser of two evils.

Yes... I agree. Enough, but she didn’t help by being a "maverick" and speaking on her own without the approval of her campaign. She doesn't take direction well, but yes.... Enough. The GOP should let it go and work on salvaging what left of their party. The GOP has ruined their reputation for the abuse of this woman. She was nothing but a prop for the party that back-fired on them. Sarah Palin was a sugar high ~nice in the beginning, but ugly in the end~ You probably will not see another repub in the white house for 12 years.

IMO, I hope the GOP never recovers. The way they run the country sucks...times have changed, they have not. I'd like to see everyone over 55 given the boot, so we can start fresh.

Media had nothing to do with attacks on her. That's a fallacy. McCain campaign silenced her and let everyone think and say what they want. That's OK cuz everyone gets a big "O" in the end.

I hope the Dems get a Super Majority and puts through everything to their hearts content. Then when you and everyone else is ****ed I will sit here and laugh at you for being sheep and believing everything is about "feelings". I'll do what it takes to survive and prosper while the majority of bleeding hearts will sit around thinking "woe is me" without being able to blame the Republicans for everything that is wrong with this country.

I do think she's getting an unfair share of the blame from a poorly-run campaign.

That said, I'm not sure I'd exempt her entirely, she definitely did the McCain campaign harm, but 90% of that harm was their own fault.

Frankly, she was just out of her league. It isn't really her fault per se, they picked her, but she looked like a fool half the time. This is ultimately McCain's and Schmidt's fault though, not hers.

They're the ones who picked an uninformed VP.

I heard this on the talk station I listen to and I was amused once again. I think Levi should write a tell all book and make an appearance on the D.L Hugely show on CNN then make his way to the Howard Stern show and top it off with a suprise apperance on the VIEW! This kid was used and now its time for him to get $$$$$$$$

If the GOP is smart.... I meant to say, if the GOP knows what's good for them they'll pass on the whole palin ticket when it comes up again. I can see it know... the Michael Steele and Sarah Palin ticket in 2012. These are probably the two biggest puppets in the GOP game right now. That is a guaranteed win for the Dems in 2012.
